everything is just fine on here (Gulshan exchange). However, net is going down (adsl is up) frequently and staying down for long periods of time on Mohanagar (Rampura) exchange.

Please do not PM me for support. You will NOT get a reply. Post in the relevant forum section.

People should stop blaming games for allegedly *copying* each other: "oh this game is Skyrim copy", "this game is WoW knock off", "this game is just another DMC" - enough!

On this rate every 3rd person action will be God of War, every 3rd p shooter Gears, every 1st will be CoD.. it's ridiculous. They are called genres people! And if you look carefully you'll see allot more than mimicry out there.

Default Re: [BTCL] Are You Getting Slow Speed on Torrents?

@xCross : I can't tell about torrents but I am experiencing a more general problem with BTCL bandwidth/peering for about a month (if not more) now. Except for some high-profile site/network (i.e. google, rackspace), average latency to servers around rest of the world seems to average at 700ms. And, when there's a latency problem, bandwidth is affected too. That implies, torrents do suffer. Not to mention how much fun I have working through SSH/SFTP/FTP/SVN - imagine someone is pulling your hand off your keyboard for a couple of seconds between every keystroke while you are typing in something important.

I have tried to inform and seek help from BTCL/EMEM several times so far with no luck. My latest post to their blog have some links to speedtest.net reports to give you a better idea of the problem: http://duralaponi.wordpress.com/2011.../#comment-1981

I don't know any BTCL officials personally. If any of you could get my message to them, with the technical details, I would be really grateful to you. Feel free to ask me for more info as needed.

Yes, he is. But even as a director, he doesn't really have anything to do.
We also told him why the latency is so high and the ways to fix this.

Err, no, you didn't. The 700ms is because their internal network is made of bullshit, nothing else. Even the IIG gateways are often overloaded.

And another thing, rackspace is anything but a high profile network. Charging more for subpar services = rackspace, marketing 101 etc.

I'm getting 20-25 KBPS. My line is 256 ADSL Unlimited. I usually download torrents from kickasstorrents. Last 1 month or more I was getting on around 53KBPS. But recently last 4-5 days getting only 20-25KBPS from torrents. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? My other downloads are fine. But experiencing problems with torrents. I use bit torrent 7.2.1 version and downloaded many movies.
