BG wristband - discussion & feedback

i have a plan to make BG wristbands and distribute them among members who are playing in wcg. the purpose is publicity of BG community. we highly encourage every player to get one and wear it during wcg. also, get one for your known players who are not member or regular here in BG.

they will cost around 20-30 taka each.

if you are interested to get one or more wristbands, post in THIS thread in announcement forum

the plan is to keep that thread open for 3 days and then order for the bands according to response and demand. the bands can be distributed before wcg in game cafes and can also be collected during wcg.

here in this feedback thread you can give any suggestion or feedback about this idea and initiative. also, little bit of help from a few volunteers will be appreciated

BG is doing ALOT for the gamers of BD, recent activities which I strongly disagree and don't support have occured, yet I say BG is doing pretty good, just that one thing was very bad. But still, BG has no one provding large somes of cash, most stuff are charity or done by gamers for gamers, how can you ask for free merchendising now?

BG'te ja member ase, we are all gamers and love playing, and know each other well, and spending a lil for OUR country's gaming comunity is not a waste of money, I asked for 10 bands, not coz I will wear em all, but it's the love for BG, (which is less now). >_>. Anyway, it's not manditory you buy it, I will, so will others, so be it, if you don't wanna, then don't.

Regarding helping BG, I have no problem with it, although I also want to promote such community to make it alive for long long period. Shei jonno BG onek product toiri korte pare & sheigula sell korte pare, kono problem nai ete, kintu jokhon kono specific event e specific product diye publicity koraite hobe Gamer der k diye, tokhon sheita Gamer ra free korte pare, kintu shey publicity o korbe abar Taka o dibe eita fair na.

Amar mone hochche tumi beparta personally nichcho, tumi 10 nao 100 ta nao eita oboshshoi tomar bepar, kintu ekjon member hishabe eishob bepare amaro boktobbo dewar rights ache, jokhon kono ekta bepar fair mone hobe na amar kache.

Umm, from now on, can we do something, BG'r league gula te, can we charge 50 taka per player, and give them each a wrist band which is MANDITORY to be worn during league matches, a simple thing, not too flashy, just for more advertisement, and they will also be for sale. =]

Since BG does not get money from anywhere particular, charging people for it wouldn't necessarily mean the end of the world. The money is coming out of somebody's pocket, and he is just a fellow gamer like you. I'd happily buy a wristband for 20 taka!

1. we are not urging every member to buy wristbands. if they like BG, feel like a part of the community (which apparently DF vai, you do not seem to be ) and want to spread the word, they can get the bands.

2. my point of opening this thread was meant for suggestion abt how to distribute, where to get band from, design and other stuff, not questioning the purpose of this initiative.

3. we are not going to make profit (like F1 does) from this initiative. ami band receipt r snapshot ekhane post korbo, je koi taka lage setai rakhbo, baki taka (jodi kisu bache) dia wcg arena te shobai coke khabo. the whole point is, "you like BG? this is your chance to promote BG". we do not make profits (like F1 does) from organizing the leagues either, although the leagues have proven to be the best place for creating bond among gamers and developing their skills (unlike WCG). amra gamer der gaater poisha theke profit korar jonno event manage korina (like F1 does). amra ulta nijer gaater poisha khoroch kori BG activity organize korar jonno, coz amra real passionate gamer, profiteer na.

4. we always do this in university- collecting funds then make a shirt or something, wear them and thus promote something.. sometimes ourselves sometimes a humane cause like preventing vobodoho disaster. this initiative was meant to be just something like that. BG doesn't have sponsors yet, but we hope to, and that would come after BG gets some publicity and recognition. this promotional work is a part of that.. to get recognition among gamers.

I support 90% of what Salman wrote. About the money issue, I think we have 2 sets of opinion.

For everyone involved, please remember this, we do not want to make any profit (yet ). This is what Salman said, declare yourself to be a part of BG. If it was possible, I would have happily given these bands as gift to all the gamers...but sadly, at this moment, I can not, and BG also can not help.

But I also do not think that DF bhai has said anything against BG. For this reason, I shall buy one extra band for him... A gamer like DF is always going to be an integral part of BG.
