New Amazing Spider-Man Details
The last we saw of The Amazing Spider-Man was a screenshot that had a similar visual style to Mirror’s Edge, mostly with the city’s white and blue colour scheme.
Now, The Amazing Spider-Man’s lead designer revealed some new details to fans on the game’s official Facebook page. First on the list was a confirmation of the game’s return to its open world setting, despite the fact that the announcement trailer already made it pretty clear.
The developer said: “Our game brings back free-roaming in Manhattan, where you guys will be able to swing around and discover a variety of side missions, challenges and mini-games in addition to the main storyline.”
And when asked about any new Spidey abilities, the developer touched on one of the game’s new mechanics called “Web Rush”.
“We introduce an all-new gameplay mechanic called the Web Rush, which gives players real-time navigational and combat choices,” they said. “Web Rush can be triggered on the fly, at any moment and immediately presents you with a variety of situational choices, letting you pull off Spidey’s signature moves like never before.”
I guess all we can do is wait for more gameplay footage.

The Amazing Spider-man is coming to the PC after all
Great news for all Spidey fans, as Beenox’s upcoming ‘The Amazing Spider-man’ will hit the PC platform after all. The game was originally announced as a X360 / PS3 title and there was no mention about a possible PC version. However, Activision sent us a new press release in which they have included the PC version. Not only that, but the PC version is developed by Beenox themselves and will be released after the console versions. There is no specific date yet, but we can expect it to see around August (the console versions are slated for a June 29th release).
