Port forwarding will not save you then. Enable encryption in options of your p2p client! Should work! Abroad it is possible as no inter-linked hub-ports are blocked.
Supposing, my ISP is BDCOM and I have a router hub at my place. Port forwarding will only open the ports of that hub. As far as I know, the BDCOM main server is in road # 27 and my house is road # 2. There might be a hub at road # 8...How do you open the ports on that hub? The thing is you won't be able to tell how many secured hubs your LAN cable has gone through before it has reached you.
The only thing that might save you is enabling encryption!

Die Die Die!!
seeing is believing..
Hubs does not have any control over ports, etc
They have hubs and switches all over the area
All go and connect to a few routers / dedicated servers / cisco whatever - there they are controlled.
If your ISP blocks port, all you can actually do is tunnel through open ports.
simply to put....in BD u simply cant gain anything if ur isp has blocked
torrent traffic. Ur best bet is to force encrycrytion in both in/out traffic....considering the fact that ISP ISNT using router with a hardware filter turned on. n btw getting user name and pass for the router is out qs.... in most cases.
Besides its not just the port... ISPs filter torrent traffic and in order to play safe ISPs usually block or reduce all p2p bandwidth.
so in BD port forwarding is quite useless unless som1 can comup with somthing that can giv access to the router settings.
Using smile's bronze package, I get around 20KB/s from public torrents and the speed jumps to about 30 when downloading from private torrents(given that the no. of seeds is above 10). Some of my ports are open but smile blocks p2p traffic in the bronze package. I don't know about networking stuff but if you're still interested in p2p, I can show you why I'm getting good speeds from p2p.
You can do few things to increase bandwidth in torrent.
1. Always use utorrent. Its small doesnt have extras and very easy to use.
2. Enable encryption or make it forced. for utorrent :Options>Preferences>Bittorrent>Protocol Encryption
3. Use ports which are open. All torrent or p2p clients use some ports which are random and dont conflict with other services. like 55555. But if your ISp trottles p2p they will block all the ports except which are necessary.
use these ports.
80:http/webserver
21:ftp
22:ssh
23:telnet
25:smtp
110OP3
8080roxy
There are others but i cant remeber now. Usually these ports are never blocked. Using 80 or 21 is the best bet but if you run web and ftp server then you have to use other ports.
let me tell you how a ISP works in this country.
In any ISPs network the most top level server is a router. Probably a Mikrotik or cisco.
It manages bandwidth, time, user and manything else. For smile it is a mikrotik server.
You can find your router easily. If you have proxy enabled then thats it or if you have gateway then thats it or for PPPoE users like smile check your ELBD network connection status. There the server is the router. Now you can check what router it is by simply doing this. Find the router IP. Open yoir browser and type it on the address. And ENTER. And depending on the router you get a page saying something. Try 114.31.23.26. Its the mikrotik my net has. There is another way. Open cmd and type "telnet serverIP" put ip in place of server ip and use without the commas. it will connect to the server and you will get a welcome messege depending on the router.
The next lvl things are switches and hubs. They are not managed. Cause managed switches cost a alot. So they dont limit anyones bandwidth. Its all done in mikrotik.
But if another ISP gets bandwidth from this isp you will get another proxy/server.
And so on.
Another thing guys dont try to hack into any sever its not impossible but very very hard. Cause they manage the password very strictly(they are all linux based ;-)). But you can easily fool the sever and make it think you are someone else.
hmm....amar smile ee forward kore nei...aimnei greendling at 22KBps rate 30KBps

How do i port forward ports on my connection...???? roter s microtik
u cant forward ports by yourself coz u dont have the password of the router...
ask ur distro to forward ports...
my previous isp blocked all ports so uTorrent always showed the yellow warning, i called my distro to forward a port 4 me but they didn't know what is port forwarding (***holes)

Vous n'avez pas vraiment connaître quelqu'un qu'en le combattant.
My torrent ports r blocked.I use proxy servers to download torrents
