Question MyUS.com: are they for real?

I stumble into this website today and wondering cud it be the end of FB groups rip off payments when shipping from US to BD?

They charge a basic and premium registration fee of $10 and 20$ only respectively with a storage+shipping address account as well.

    Their website: https://www.myus.com/

They offer the shipping charge just as the shipping weight no hidden or 'complex shipping weight' calculation as per their claim.

Anyone tried it? If so, how are they and cud you recommend it?

I use a website very similar to this, and yes it works. What it does is basically create a mail address for you in the US, enabling you to buy products with an US address and at US prices. They then just ship it internationally from their adress to yours. It only works on products available in the US btw, won't work on EU or Japan/Korea sites.

Thanks bro! Just another question if I buy say like 3 different items from say like amazon or newegg, does it count as different shipping expense or they will ship all 3 different products in the same shipment.

E.g Bought item 1, will reach my US location by x days,
Bought item 2, will reach my US location by y days,
Bought item 3, will reach my US location by z days

will it send as a whole so that my charge will be for one shipment or they automatically send individually making 3 different shipments?

PS: They have this 'storage time' for members, will it help?

    Thanks again!

It's way too risky considering our custom issues and inconsistencies of package forwarding services. You are much better off using those FB groups instead.

@Ehas, which company did you use?

These are called mail forwarding companies ^__^. Just google the term . These were quite popular back in 2010 among hackers . Anyways its possible for you to order 3 items from different websites and package them together but then you have to subscribe to their premium service n leave instruction there . Back then there was less restriction but mostly these sites are good . List a few website n i can check it for you if they are scam or not.

As franklin said ..using fb group is more secure doesnt mean mail forwarding companies are bad..need to find the right one

They hold your items in their warehouse for a limited time (time depends on what package you chose) so they can ship them all together, thus saving cost. they inspect the products then ship them to a mailing address in this country and then hire someone to get it from there to your home.

The storage time for members is basically what you mentioned before, so that you can ship multiple products together in a limited period of time. @Franklin i used Borderlinx. it's a similar website (smaller in scale) used it 3 years ago and it worked properly then don't use it anymore since my sis lets me use her Credit card now. this site seems to be bigger and it runs opertaions in other countries with good reviews from customers so far so should be good. The rates are a bit high though, but still slightly cheaper than products here (in case of large purchases).

EDIT : typed the site mentioned in description by mistake

Well they could be comfortable in knowing that even in shitty countries (more than ours ) like phillipines and Pakistan they have the same service and it actually works.

All of them do more or less the same thing, people just choose on whoever has the lowest rate for their country. Never used MyUS before, but it's a reputed site so go for it. There are other mail forwarding companies like this, but only about 4-5 of them are big (including this one).

I use usgobuy.com , used their services to ship 6 lb (worth almost 40k BDT) items to Bangladesh from USA. I have bought the items over a span of 2 months and then shipped it here, just before Eid Ul Fitr. Had no problem.
