Default CPU Overheating too much (Almost 100c)

Most of my games crashes, random bluescreens and PC restarts was daily tale. When i checked the CPU temp recently on idle mood it was reaching 85c+ and while gaming 97-100c.
After cleaning dust and removing the previous thermal paste, the idle temperature of the CPU is now 56-70. And when i game it goes up to 95-100c!
Have stock cooler on the CPU and one extra fan in the Chassis.

    PC specs :

    Processor : Core i5 2400.
    Ram : 4GB DDR3
    GPU : Nvidia 560.

Looking for a permanent solution badly. I never bought thermal paste before so i have no idea where, which to get and should i install additional cooling fans?

    Thanks In Advance!

"After cleaning dust and removing the previous thermal paste" did you apply new thermal paste? If yes, which one? Also, my 2500k is going up to 80 on gaming and 95 on stress testing with the stock cooler. So I guess getting a better cooler would be best option anyways.

Didn't before but re-applied the thermal paste today ( 50TK syringe one). Idle temperature went down to 50c but while gaming(CS:GO) still going upto 97c!

50tk syringe diye emergency kaj chalano jai, but permanent solution na.

clean your pc properly, remove the previous thermal paste using hexisol (available at medicine shops), apply new thermalpaste, install a good cooler like cm 212x or deepcool neptwin. done!

for thermalpaste you can go for thermaltake tg3 from ucc, or cooler master ic essential e2 from binary logic.
