    Default 3D in BD

Ok,so I was over at bcs, just window shopping...suddenly this "3D glass" caught my attention in a shop in second floor...there was some crowd around it...they were showing something something that I didn't notice...what I noticed was that it was a simple 3D glass with no emitters nor with(seemed like)shutter capabilities. So far my knowledge in 3D viewing is that it requires a ir emitter..a shutter viewing glass and a monitor supporting at least 120 hz refresh rate.

So the question is : what those guys at that shop(and latter I noticed them in other shops to,going for about 1500/-) are calling 3D glasses, can they really provide 3D viewing? If so what quality will it provide?

Also, please share any remarks on 3D or your personal experience with 3D.

Lastly,I have a Dell S2309W monitor and recently got 550 ti..is 3D viewing possible for movies or for gaming in my setup?I understand that 550 ti supports 3d,but my montior dose not(as far I can tell) and more over 3D gaming will be more harder than 3D movie viewing both for my monitor(if at all) and for my gfx(which is a budget gaming card). Please share your remarks about this also.

apni jeta deksen IDB te oita glass 2ta 2 colour chio? ekta red arekta blue? eta hole apni "anaglyphic 3D glasses" dekechen.

I personally tried with those glasses before getting a bravia 3D (still have 2 red/blue glasses). the problem with one that i got is the blue was of the right shade but the red was not of the right shade. therefore there was no 3D image, but just a blurry and ghosty image. checking the glasses on da shop might be difficult if you dont know the right method. the method that seems to work is first ask the shop keeper to play a 3D clip in front of you (anaglyphic 3D). then wear the glasses and cover one of your eyes with your hand and look at the image. do this for both eyes one after another. In both cases if you dont see any ghosting/double image then the glasses are good and will show you anaglyphic 3D. but remember the quality of these 3D wont be as good as the active shutter 3D and also you need to download anaglyphic content to watch. also the colours will feel bit washed out with this anaglyphic 3D.

    hope the infos helped.
