    Default PC sound problems HELP D:

    So i bought a new headset, tried it on my phone, laptop, sibling's pc's on all 4 of them it worked perfectly but not on my one. I could hear but at a VERY low volume. now i thought the setero and microphone jack at my pc was busted so i got a usb sound adapter and at the store i checked it out at their pc and my headset worked in that USB sound adapter as well but when i plug it into my pc it dosen't work D:

    Really at a mess here so any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

    is this the problem with xonar? have you tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers? try to put your 3.5mm jack on rear channel or center/ sub woofer port. if you get sound from those then, your front channel port may be busted. there are 3rd party drivers, try those as well. also make sure your configure your card properly from the control panel (i know i sound foolish, still )

    Don't think it's a sound card problem and yep did all that. i tried doing them on the rear channel but heard literally no sound, if i use that USB sound adapter then no sound either, if i put it at the front channel port then i hear sound on one ear and sometimes both but very faint. im sure the new headphones work btw since it works in preety much everyone's pc other than mine. So what do you think might be the problem?

    sounds like a problem with the motherboard, do u have any warranty left? if so, get it RMAed

    is the new headset your only headset? do you have any other earphones or headsets? did you try those on your pc... and what about your speakers. do they work ok with ur pc.

    Just tried with my music headset...didn't work. and yes speakers work fine. just headsets don't.

    Yes D; speakers work fine but headsets don't at all. What audio settings could it be? i mean on all my sibling's pc's i just plugged it in and it worked right away(my headset) i set the default device and also communication&playback device to the headsets but it still dosen't work! yet in my laptop or anyone else's pc it works perfectly fine.

    my suggestion is to perform a clean installation of windows and install the drivers from beginning, i think this might work as your problems seems to be connected with lack of combination between hardware and drivers. you might try this. I don't know if ur motherboard is under defects, speaker can amplify sounds as well as headset should do so. so i can't say there is something creepy with your motherboard unless you perform a clean windows installation. try this and tell us if it works for you.

    You tried setting up multiple sound devices, so, be sure that one works only at a time.

    Is your speaker a 2:1 or some other variant. Did you try to completely disconnect all connection of your speaker, restart your computer (with all speaker audio connections disconnected) and after restarting PC, just connect ur headphone/headset and check. And are you using sound card or internal motherboard sound codec like realtek or sth...

    1. Right-click the speaker beside notifications.

    2. Choose "Playback Devices"

    3. Check if you've selected the correct device. If you've installed Realtek drivers, there should be three devices. Realtek Audio Device, Speaker/Headphone, Digital Output.

    3. Open an audio file via any media player.

    4. Set any of the three devices as default and see if you hear the audio.

    5. If the headphone works then you can stop here.

    6. If it doesn't but you hear faint noise, right-click on properties.

    7. In 2nd tab, tick disable all enhancements.

    8. In 3rd tab, untick program exclusivity option.

    9. Apply and OK.

    10. If still doesn't work, most likely a driver or hardware problem.

    Tried all of it. btw in the headphone properties it says it'll only work on the front audio jacks, and if i put it in the front one i hear sound but at a VERY low volume. if i use the rear port then no sound at all. and all drivers are updated btw. @zunaid tried that as well and no im not. Do you think it's because of the OS? didn't have much problems before.
