Default Gaming PC at 50,000 Tk. Suggestions requested.

    Fellow gamers, here's the deal.

I've saved up about 50000Tk and I'm ready to by a computer.
The primary purpose of this PC is gaming, other tasks may include web browsing, some office work etc.
    Gaming will get most priority.

I like to play any type of game I get my hands on. FPS, RPG, RTS, Action/Adventure, Racing etc.
I am not looking to overclock my system.
As far as brand preference, I am open to any manufacturer/company.
I just want a good gaming experience (40-50fps) at standard HD (1920x1080) resolution. (See aditional notes)
I will buy the PC next Friday.

On to the details. I have the following items and won't be needing to buy them:

    • Hard Drive
    • DVD Drive
    • Keyboard
    • Mouse
    • Speakers
    • Monitor
    • Casing

So, I will be needing the following:

    • Processor
    • Motherboard
    • Memory
    • GPU
    • Power Supply

    Additional notes:

    • My current monitor is a 17" CRT of resolution 1024x768. I will however, upgrade to a higher resolution LCD monitor (1920x1080) by the year's end.
    • I have not included an UPS here, but I will buy one with next month's salary.
    • I've kept the case as an optional item. I will buy it if I can fit it into the budget. Otherwise I will buy case and UPS together next month. Will keep the system on an open bench till then.
    • I am open to upgrading my hardware when the time and price is right.

I've done some research on BG and also went to shops myself. Here's what I've come up with and might serve as a starting point:

    • Processor: Core i3 2100
    • Motherboard: ASUS P8H67-M LX (CPU+MOBO @ 18500)
    • Memory: ADATA 2x2GB 1333MHz (2100TK)
    • GPU: ASUS Radeon 6870 EAH6870 (19500)
    • PSU: Thermaltake ToughPower XT 675W (Don't know the price but hoping within 10000TK)

    TOTAL: 50,100TK.

I aleady know that there flaws with this configuration. Especially with the CPU and PSU.
So, I am leaving the config in the hands of the experts.

    Thank You.

Will 550w be enough for this config?
I wont be overclocking so I might not buy a P67 motherboard in the future for the 2500K.
Plus I might have to wait a bit more if I want add money into the budget.

    Hows this:
    Intel Core i5 2400 - 16,000tk
    Asus P8H61-MLE - 6,500tk
    Asus Radeon 6870HD - 19,500tk / Asus N560 GTX - 19,500tk

XFX Core Edition PRO 550 Watts - 6,500tk

    Total: 50600Tk.

a your a gamer go for the more powerful GPU and as your budget does not allow anything more than a H61 mobo then, its better to go for a i5 2500 as you wont be able to overclock it anyways(which makes the total 53.1K)...and a better processor has advatages of its own......
Rep me if you like it...

and yes 550W is enough for this config....

I do like the config. Especially the psu and cpu part.

But like i said, im on a strict budget and adding more would mean that I'd have to wait.

Im already really happy you got the quad core i5 into this budget.

There is a 200Mhz difference in the clock speed between 2400 and 2500....
    Is that a big difference?

And 550w is enough for this config?

Im already really happy you got the quad core i5 into this budget.

There is a 200Mhz difference in the clock speed between 2400 and 2500....
    Is that a big difference?

And 550w is enough for this config?
a 550w is enough for a rig like this....and i would go for the 2500 even if i had to pay 2 grands more....but still its your call....

    I won't spend extra 2k at cpu rather I would buy a better gpu like I said before(gtx 560ti).

No way.....not skimping on GPU but if there were a less priced model....just saying.
The XFX psu will be reliable right?
Is it just that XFX GPU come bad in Bangladesh....or does it apply to psu too?

I will also need to know how im going to buy this and from where......
Do I go to a single shop at IDB/Multiplan and by all?
Or do i buy individual items from different shops.

    Ok then, XFX it is.......

    A couple of stuff......

The ASUS motherboard seems to support UEFI bios . And looks awesome.
The PSU isn't modular (I guess you get what you pay for....). Would have been a nice touch, but not necessary.
Love the reference design of the ASUS EAH 6870. No fancy stickers and stuff. Website says the cover of the card is of aluminum.
