Question So is it OnePLus 2 or Asus Zanfone 2 (4GB)???

    I am willing to buy a new smartphone switching from my old windows phone, i have been waiting for a long time for OnePlus 2, but there were always a underdog from Asus. So as torn between the two, which one to should i go for as primary phone, both have more or less similar specs. After a little research, I got following;

    USPs:
OnePLus 2 has USB C type connectivity
Zenfone 2 got faster charging utility

OnePLus 2 has Snapdragon 810 which is tad faster than zenphone2
Zenfone 2 got microSD, up to 64 GB on top of it's 32/64 GB internal memory

    Drawbacks:

OnePLus 2: No SD Card slot
Zenfone 2: Slight lag in running powerful apps/games (Source: Times of India)

OnePLus 2: Buying option for invited only
Zenfone 2: Gorilla Glass 3 as oppsed to Oneplus 2 has got Gorilla Glass 4

OnePLus 2: Takes 3 hours for full charging
Zenphone 2: Battery conks off in just one day whereas OnePLus 2 remains almost 2 days. (Source: Times of India)

    My question is:
@ almost similar price range (OnePlus 2 slightly higher), which one has better longevity and value?

one+2 ... but i think moto x 2015(style/pure edition) is better in this price range coz op2 is 389$+15$shipping cost when moto X is 399$ .... & moto x soc is 808 (lg g4 soc) which has no bad reputation compare to 810 soc of op2 ..

Oneplus 2 hands down. Other than availability I don't see any reason for not getting the Oneplus 2 (64 GB). BTW the new Moto X (Style/Pure) seems to be a pretty good competitor in this price range too.

i would say get the moto x style if you are considering one plus 2 64gb. you will get better build, 2nd best camera after s6, better support from Google, and 808 vs underclocked 810 "Firedragon" which still heat up even after "v2.1" , one plus team say 2016 killer i highly doubt it even can kill the 2015 flagships lol, micro sd card support and the list keeps going.

Wow! It really happens every time i get to choose between two another one comes with mind-blowing stuffs!!

Anyways, Moto X style def a good competition but, USB C Type gives hell lot of edge to OnePlus 2 IMO.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

One thing should be remember due to charging with higher current for a short time quick charging will reduce lifespan of Battery.

I don't really see that much of an advantage of USB Type C with the Oneplus 2. Reversible connectors are nice and that's probably the only big advantage. USB Type C doesn't support quick/fast/turbo charging so charge will be slow. SO no real features other than the reversible connector which isn't really a big deal though. (But DIY an average human spends 30 minutes a year trying to get the USB the right way! Source : [email protected])

Apple's Lightning connector which was reversible and not really slow was criticized for not following the trend of Micro USB, so people with multiple devices had to carry different chargers. But now when USB Type C is here no one seems to mention this. Yes, USB Type C is the future but think about now, USB Type C adoption is not really that much. A lot of newer phones will probably still stick to Micro USB for faster charging, until there is some great battery innovation to increase battery life (other than just putting a big battery because...THIN & LIGHT).

But the Oneplus 2 is still a great competitor in this price point. It's just that the USB Type C isn't really much impressive on a phone IMO.

What about between 1+1 & zenfone 2? Which one would be a better choice?

Oneplus 2 IMO. The Oneplus One has better performance, camera, battery and experience. The Oneplus One's UI looks better, has more functionality and doesn't have bloat.

performance wise one plus one is obviously better than zenfone 2, and its way more expensive than zenfone 2gb ram. 1+1 has better camera.
