Default Sugggest a GPU to go with P4 running @3.6GHz, 2GB rams.

My younger brother s got a computer for free... what would be the best card to go with his P4? he has 2 GB rams and the CPU can run at around 3-3.5 GHz with a chinese generic PSU.. he doesnt want it to last long or anything.. just wants a card that wouldnt be a overkill for his below avg setup.
i lost track of GPU series for a while now.. so plz suggest. Just the Card name will do. thanks in advance.

As it's a P4 mobo, PCI-e is not a available feature. So, go for any available AGP GPU. I think you can get 2nd hand Agp from elephant road.

@shohag2018 vai, p4 er mobo te usually pci-ex slot thakena. Ar tomar bro er mobo te jodi pci-ex slot thake then buy 1st or 2nd ati 4670 or nvidia 9600 gt 512 ddr3. If u get anything above that, there will be a huge bottleneck by ur cpu. So buy these 2.

yah that mobo support PCIE gpu...
9600gso requires external psu but its slower than 4670/9600gt...a 2nd hand 4670 would be the the best option for u that doesn't ask for a gud psu....

dont buy GSO version. That is totally crap. Do what @nonymous bro said. An ATI 4670 will be the best bang of buck. U may get a 2nd hand 4670 512 ddr3 at ~2k from cellbazaar or clickBD.

One word for a 6450, CRAP!

There was a 4650 in the forums for sale, as in this one, don't know whether it's still on sale or not, awesome card, and still has warranty. Mentioning @prototype .

GT 240 has about 70W TDP.So it can be run with normal psu. Also it has DX 10.1.IMO it won't be a bad choice.Though 5670 ddr 5 would be even better.

6450/5450 are not designed for gaming...those are for basic HTPC user and good for 1080p video playback...gaming performence might be somewhat like a 9500gt...ati 4670 should be more than 2X faster than these......

    240gt better option....240 ddr3 is slower than 4670/9600gt & ddr5 version slightly faster than 4670 & equal to 9600gt.......

IMO, the 4650 would be a nice buy :/ Awesome price as it still has warranty!
