Default Radeon HD 7xxx Series is coming

As we know when some info about some product is leaked then the product is going to be "leaked" (released) soon. So here it comes AMD RADEON HD 7xxx Spec leaked. We can assume that "Southern Island" gpu are around the corner. What's the date? And give source properly.

P:S: As source the cards are expected to launch in late Q4 2011 while the high tier cards would most likely launch in 1H 2012.

Theres actually a noticeable difference from DX 9 to 11 if coded right, sad part is none of the devs are prepared to shell $$$ on developing a graphics engine developed on DX11 from the ground up because they eventually have to let it support consoles as well. Adding more DX11 effects is pointless for them because it will have to be reverted back for consoles anyway. Looking forward to BF3, lets see if it brings anything new to the table and if it succeeds, hopefully other developers will take note and develop native DX11 titles/engines. Only then can we see a difference and appreciate the hardware more.

But on another note, recently I can the see that multiplatforming has become beneficial for the budget gamer. Crysis 2 X360 te release na korle ami jiboneo Radeon 5770 diye 1080p te khelte partam na.

Adding more DX11 effects is pointless for them because it will have to be reverted back for consoles anyway. Looking forward to BF3, lets see if it brings anything new to the table and if it succeeds, hopefully other developers will take note and develop native DX11 titles/engines. Only then can we see a difference and appreciate the hardware more.
    agreed.

Average gamers der jonno akhon akta bhalo time actually cause you can run any game with very good settings with a budget card. But multi-monitor setup jader, tader akhono horsepower shortage.

Ar every year card to ber korbei, tar mane na je you have to buy it. Dorkar hoile HD7000 release er por grab a HD6900, it'll be a substantial bargain DX12 niye chinta korar dorkar nai ashte akhono deri ase, r oitar game ashte to aro deri. BF3 matro akta native DX11 hobe so DX12 to durer kotha. First e koyekta gimmick DX12 games thakbe but oigula must have features hobena.

Same, I had some 1MB S3 card, then came the S3 virge which was 4MB IIRC, then savage 3d 32mb, voodoo 3 2000, tnt2, mx200, ti4200, fx5900, 7800gtx, 8800gt then a few here and there. Every upgrade was substantial and brought a noticeable change in graphics till the 8800GT. After that, the jump wasnt ever as enjoyable. PC graphics development slowed and only a brand new engine developed from the ground up targeting the best PC graphics can offer might somewhat create the lost spark missing for so long.

Of course, theres a good and bad thing, everyone can enjoy decent graphics with a mid tier card from the last generation nowadays so its generally better for the masses. While slightly selfish, I want the old days back.

i know its a bit selfish, but for this many years? honestly i previously speculated how better and better the gfx would keep getting in the coming years... who'd have guessed it'd stop somewhere in the middle?!!
