Why did i have to buy my xbox 360 from Singapore???

As i have bought my xbox 360 from singapore, a problem has occurred. My x-box 360 isnt modded like the ones found in our country. I first found out when my x-box was unable to play Assassin's creed bought from Dhaka. I did my search after that & contacted a few modders. After that I took my console to Dhaka to get it modded. But then a new problem occurred. They said my x-box with HDMI support has the latest motherboard & they cant mod it. This was 3 monthes before. But still they cant mod my x-box 360. However, i just contacted with one person. I dont know if anybody can mod HDMI xboxes. But if anyone can, then can u ppl plz help me out? I so want my xbox modded.

i thought all versions of the 360 were moddable. So i take it the ones with the HDMI port arent? then whats the use of getting a 360. i guess the only thing u can do is contact someone from clickbd. and are u sure it needs to be modded internally? i thought the drive needed to be flashed or something for it to read burnt dvds.

I just flashed my 360!!!! it couldnt be done in BD 2 days ago, now they have a modchip and is charging tk12000. Maybe i should start my own business, what do you guys think?

Well, What can i say? I took my xbox 360 to dhaka 15 days earlier, took it to Boshundhara. The FAt guy of games world said It was SURELY modable & asked 10 thousend for it. I agreed & gave it to them. But after 2 hours, they said they are not sure whether they could mod it & asked me if they should try. And after 4-5 hrs, thay called & said it was not modable because mine one is the latest motherboard(no 79 or somethin). That big a-- guy said it was never modable. then i took it to another shop & they said it would take 1 month to bring that chip as it is available abroad. What can I say now???????

i have a 0079 drive, i can do yours too. for a small fee of course.. hehe..

edit: dude i just realised, they could've bricked your drive completely if they tried to flash it

how did you do it? And does your thing work with all the games? And are you sure it would not harm the console?

but r u all talking about flashing the firmware of the xbox360... or flashing of the dvd-drive's firmware......

yup, in this case the dvd firmware. The newer Hitachi drives (0079) have extra security in place thus making flashing it more difficult

haha its not so simple. I read about modding all the drives, this one and the latest Liteon drives have beefed up security. There are different models of the Hitachi drives itself, i dont remember all the model numbers but the older ones can be flashed very easily, Areek's one (and mine) requires a external programmer or a modchip to put it into debug then it can be flashed. I already provided a link to a PDF file which shows how to mod all 360's. here it is http://www.360mods.net/caster420/Textbook.2008.pdf the picture is only used to identity which drive you have, then comes the hard part

Your guide is for the v47 drive. Areek's is v79, the latest hitachi drive. Now MS is starting to use even more secure Liteon drives. You guys better pick up a 360 now if you want to play burnt games. You never know when MS will fully block firmware flashing
