    Default PC for Flame

Okay, so I'm finally getting a new PC and need some help on deciding the parts. I will basically be using this PC for video encoding and will occasionally be test driving new games when they come out (nothing hardcore).

    Here's what I got for now :

Processor : AMD Phenom II X6 1100T //I want a hexacore AMD processor, cause I want fast encoding speeds
    RAM : 2x2GB DDR3 //Suggest brands
SSD : ~40GB-60GB //Just for running OS and apps, suggest brands
HDD : 2TB //Suggest brands, I basically want one 2TB HDD instead of 2x1TB HDDs
Graphics Card : Undecided //I'm not a hardcore gamer, so I don't need something too high-end. But I'd like something that lasts for the next few years. So something from the AMD 6000 series may be good? Also, I'd like it to be Gigabyte.
Mainboard : USB3 Mobo that supports all of the above
Casing/PSU : Something that supports all of the above

    My budget is around ~60k-70k.
I'll be buying them from IDB so it needs to be available.

Processor: If the price difference between 1100t and 1090t is more than 1k, I'd suggest you to go for the latter one.
    RAM: Adata, Super Talent, Twinmos.
SSD: For reliability: Intel 320; for performace: Crucial C300/M4 (by Mazhar bhaiya). And afaik, SSDs aren't yet available in BD.
    HDD: Samsung.
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD6850 (don't know if the Gigabyte one is available, you've got to search a bit).
Mainboard: MSI 890GXM-G65 OR Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 (don't know if the latter one is available, but I saw somewhere that it is).
PSU: Delta 500W (minimum; don't go for Tt TR2 series)
Case: Tt Dokker (has good airflow)

    Thanks for the quick reply.
How long may it take for SSD's to come to BD? I was really hoping to get one for my rig.

I don't want to spend too much on the GPU. The processor is the main concern for me for now.

I think 6850 @ ~17K should be enough. I want to save some cash from the total budget and get me a graphics tablet.

It depends on the software used for encoding and how it utilizes the cores.

Afaik, video encoding is mostly processor-based. But if it helps, I use Vegas Pro 9.

What about nvidia quardo, if u r not a gamer than u need not these gaming graphics, quardo is designed for video encoding or these types of work, so go for it.
For video encoding my suggestion will be intel and of course the sandy bridge, u can buy a core i5 2500K with this money, amd are for gaming not for video encoding.
And may i ask u a question? are u professional or doing this for ur persuasion? if u r professional than i'd like to suggest for go for intel core i7 2600k its the best processor now in the whole world even better than core i7 extreme series and xeons series, (i know it will cost u lot but u know good investments in business will help to get a better profit)

Processor : AMD Phenom II X6 1100T //I want a hexacore AMD processor, cause I want fast encoding speeds

I guess the 2500K would be the safer bet, but it depends on the applications being run. In general, the 2500K comes out on top and overclocks better so its hard to choose the 1090T. However, if you do plan to get the 1090T, get a motherboard that surely supports AM3+ so you can pop in a BD in the future.

edit: Vegas Pro 9 scales well with cores, so while I expect the 2500K to be faster the difference shouldnt be great

Nah nothing professional. I just do game videos with Fraps which end up as 30-50GB raw videos, which I then edit and re-encode to around ~250MB for YouTube uploads. So I don't want something special, just something regular within my budget. Also, I don't really want to spend too much more than ~16k for the GPU.

I dont really plan to OC anything, and I've had my eye on the 1100T/1090T for a while, so I most prolly will be getting it. Could you suggest an available AM3+ Mobo please

Thing is, I dont really know the availability of motherboards in BD. I would highly recommend a AM3+ motherboard though. Even though many AM3 motherboards will support AM3+ CPU's, theres no guarantee. TBH though, you should be fine with a 890FX motherboard. Im guessing it shouldnt be too long for 990 series motherboards to hit BD market so are you sure you cant wait?
