Default What's the Problem with UCC's Service Center :@

I was facing problem with my Phenom 1090T for few days. It was bought from UCC one month ago. I also bought MSI 890GXM and a HD 6950 card from them, infact the whole PC. Though they charged the processor higher than equally performed i5-2400, which is infact the expensive one on international market; I was somewhat happy with the performance.

At least until, I started having this problem from this month. The CPU was under-performing. Sometime freezing while running many programs, which was not a case earlier. Then I ran benchmark software like PCMark 7, Passmark PerformanceTest 7.0. And I discovered that the results were significantly lower than b4. For example: on PT7 CPUMark, it scored 5k while it was 6k earlier (which also matched the usual mark for 1090T). Then I reinstall the windows (I did it becoz the most BD PC service centers do it, infact the only thing they know about servicing is windows install and virus scanning!). But as i knew it, it didn't solve the performance issue, score remained lower.

So on 16th July, i took my pc to UCC and they told me to go to the nearby service center at Taltala (don't know why it is far away from their shop at IDB :/ ). Went there and met their engr. (Mr. T) at 6pm. At first he disagreed and told that it was not a processor issue, as usual. He kept telling me that why to judge a processor by some benchmark soft (then how do ppl judge, yaar! even AMD and Intel use benchmark soft to give a CPU specific model no. after making it). After quite some arguments, he reluctantly told that it will take time to solve the issue. He told me to keep the PC there and asked me to come three days later on Tuesday, 19/07 morning.

So I went there again yesterday. But unfortunately, I could not get there at morning, as I was busy with some other work. I reached there at 5pm. Saw none at the front desk (!). After some while a boy came, told that their engr. is praying. 10mins later he appeared, showed his face, then disappeared again without telling anything. Then after 10mins later, he appeared again and asked why i didn't come by morning. He can't do my work now, he has a 'queue' to maintain. He kept telling that he need to reinstall the windows (see.. i told u b4.. these engrs. (!) just love installing windows.. the only thing they are best at!.. u go with any issue, they will just reinstall the windows!).. after that he will judge the PC (again don't know how he will judge :S .. cause he thinks benchmark software are just bunch of craps!). I think we spend 20 more minutes in that argument (more than enough time to install windows on that PC :-< ). At last, I came to realize that talking to this stubborn guy is fruitless. I just came from Baridhara to Taltala for nothing. And the taxi fare of (200+200 =) 400/= went to H2O.. :'(

One thing to say here is.. this Engr. claims he is very professional. He and UCC don't waste any time. FYI, UCC service center don't have any generator or IPS backup. They lose hours when load-shedding occurs. Where's the professionalism that time. My issue could have been easily solved if he had good intentions. But i surrendered, as buyers have no 'say' in BD, these so called engrs. (!) are the boss here.

Today, I am going there again at MORNING.. (don't know why he wants me there at morning, i told him i have class that time.. yet he told me that i need to be present there at morning )

Lastly, praying for better PC service in bd... for now pray for me..

    Best of luck brother.

    UCC is total bulls**t . Especially the salesmen from IDB branch are

Service Center doesn't care about benchmarking.
So arguing over benchmarking is useless.
You should show them solid proof of unstability. Like application are crashing, windows is freezing.
If you can't prove it, they will just perform a windows installation again.

So going to them for low benchmark score is not worthy of time or money.

Instead you can try to figure out whats wrong, It will be good for you, if you can find out any solid proof to show them.

    Default update

sry friends.. i could not post any update... bcoz as u know i was on a rush... But it ended well for me. After giving 3 more visits to the service center, i was able to convince them that it was a processor issue.. they offered me a new 1090T.. but i opted for 1100T this time.. of course it came for little xtra bux due to the price difference..

and everything is fine till now... (ahhh shanti... !!)

thank u all for ur support and comments..
