galaxy S i9000 is one of the best single core android available but its not available with warranty anymore, you can get service warranty at max, you should get it at around 34-36k with service warranty(recently one of my friend got the 8Gb for 36K). About the HTC desire S, actually I was thinking the same about getting the DESIRE S and the i9003, among these two ofcourse desire S is the powerfull one
but after reading several reviews I came to know that it's having a 'death grip' issue.Like when you hold the phone in landscape and you palm touches the backside of the phone,
the wifi signal drops to almost zero. Thats why I am still confused which should I get.

IIRC, the Galaxy S i9003 is around 37k with official warranty, samiulislam16 je 34-35k si9000 tar kotha bolche that's probably with service warranty only. Desire S er price actually amar jana nai, but it should definitely be over 30k.

Let's go over the basic differences between the Desire S and Galaxy S

    1. The Desire S has more RAM than the Galaxy S, (768MB vs 512MB)
    2. The Desire S has a better GPU (Adreno 205)
    3. Galaxy S has a larger screen (4" vs 3.7")
    4. Galaxy S comes with 8/16GB of internal storage, whereas the Desire S only has 1GB
    5. Galaxy S claims to have longer battery life

Just a word, the Galaxy S used to be THE premier Android phone for a long time, so there are a huge lot of customizations for it. On the other hand, the Desire S has SenseUI. Final decision lies with you. Go to the shops and check out the phones in person, hopefully that will be enough for you to make a final decision.

BTW, the Defy is not in the same class as these phones, so that is OUT.

u will find galaxy s in samsung showroom at B.city for 35k (no warranty). i have no prob at all with my galaxy s, besides its the most unbrickble smartphone anyway....
u should do a little research at b.city may be will find one with service warranty
the main thing about buying this kind of high-end smartphones is that, u should not regret anything after buying one, u should be happy what u have bought
for me galaxy s is worth every penny

some phones now have wimax modem builtin....

but i doubt that if bl and qb will allow to use that on their network.......as you have to register that device on their network...as in Wimax the device is the identifier...there is no sim card...

first you have to get the phone first

Sorry I missed this thread, ty abhi bhaiya for mentioning me!

If you are buying it new, I would suggest: Samsung Galaxy S, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10HD, HTC Desire- take care so that you get the AMOLED versions of the Samsung & HTC, the X10 only comes with a LCD display!
The Samsung one would cost you like 34-36K, 27-28K for the X10 & 30-32K for the Desire!

All of the sets mentioned have will get/have officially Gingerbread (2.3.3+), the X10 & Desire will be getting it shortly! Key features of the three phones:

    1. A whole new world of customization i.e custom ROMs- the Galaxy S & Desire trumps here, though once the Gingerbread is released for the X10, it would be no less!
    2. Huge internal memory of the Galaxy S (8/16GB), HTC Sense UI 2.1 for the Desire, 8MP/720P at 30FPS Camera for the X10
    3. All of the devices mentioned are 1GHz Cortex/Snapdragon processors, & they are really snappy!
    4. The Galaxy S & HTC sports AMOLED displays which are really crisp & all of the devices are 3.7'+, 4' for both the Galaxy S & X10

My personal vote: go for the Galaxy S, then the Desire & lastly the X10! The X10 is the cheapest of them all, if you are budget constrained!
