    Default Case Temperature Help!

I cant believe I'm opening such a thread, but I do need help with my case & the temperatures! ;D

The thing is I couldn't play a single game during my vacation, but now that I've got the chance...the temperatures seem to be worrying!

My CPU peaks at 60-65C & as for the GPU it goes to 65-70C, now the numbers are perfectly fine, but I feel my case is burning & I can literally feel those heat waves! What I suspect is that, the GTX460 is dumping all that heat into the casing which heats it up! This does not happen when I play CSS, since it's an CPU intensive game! But when playing AC:II/Witcher2/AC:B/DiRT3- this becomes an issue!

Oh I've clocked my X4 955 to a 3.6GHz & the HT & NB are at 2400 respectively, I've CoolnQuiet enabled, so the machine cools down quick after exiting the game! The GPU is at stock, though it's an OC edition card!
As for the case description, it's ThermalTake Dokker, nothing impressive here really...it only came with a single 120mm exhaust & spins at a max 1000/1200RPM, I've installed a front intake, it's a 120mm blue LED fan which I ripped of a Space casing!

I need to know, if changing the front intake to a powerful one could at least shove that heat out of the casing in a timely manner ? Or should I install two side fans ? The Dokker can accomodate *1front intake, *1 back exhaust, *2side fans beside the GPU, *1 fan in the bottom in front of the PSU & *2 fans in the top (1 120 & 1 200mm)!

I'll post some pictures later, & I can only spend 1K to get those new fans, Help me out guys!

Install a fan on the side panel, and see the differences.

The air being sucked out needs to be more than the intake. I dont however recommend side panel fans though, dont really know how they fare but to me they mess up the overall air flow in the case. Try keep the air path simple as possible, making things complicated may ruin air flow thus increasing overall temps
    FTW!!!!!!!!!!

+1 and thanks to Dee, thik 1ee kotha boltey chaitesilam ami, u can see the difference by installing a 120mm thunderblade in side cover as intake just beside ur gpu...one thing i wanna add that u need at least 3 efficient fans for proper thermal temp. even in this hot summer...
i have A60 chassis with 4 fans and yes i did see the difference when i remove the side intake thunderblade for using it in rear of the chassis to help my frio to exhaust the processor heat,

    the difference i've seen is-
GPu temp with side 120mm intake- idle 32c and full load(several hours of witcher 2) 64c
GPu temp without side 120mm intake- idle 36-38c and full load(several hours of witcher 2) 68c

so i also need another 120mm intake for cooldown the gpu..

btw amio jachhi ucc within an hour to buy a thunderblade....and of course the red one

Actually I don't have any fan installed on the side panel, so can't tell the differences. My GPU idles at 40C, and at load it reaches 75C.

How much you pay for your 120mm per piece? And mention other fans price which are you bought today.

I think what you saw were server fans. They are way too noisy and would totally ruin your gaming. Sometimes it actually sounds like a siren.

    Lightbulb Re: Case Temperature Help!

ami gpu'r side e(side cover of casing) intake hishebe use kortesi(in accordence to the spec of the thermaltake)
@dipanzan u may also try to use the side cover fan as intake and i think u may get better result with it...
    please see this-
    Attachment 10417
as u can see top and rear is exhaust and side front and bottom is for intake in accordance to Thermaltake website, practically processor hoilo onno shob hw theke beshi gorom hoi, as its located in top, oitakey sarround kore shob guloi exhaust deya, and interestingly nich er 3ta intake oneek air tene bhitorey dhukai and oi air gulokey(with other hw's hot air) uporer 3ta exhaust bairey ber kore dei, in result fantastic airflow!!! i guess eibhabe plan korei mone hoi TT oder chassis gulo design korcey...
i think this is the optimum setup for better thermal temperature..
