or the Fifa next gen thread which is for fifa09 should be renamed as FIFA 09
its almost time of FIFA 09
and as fifa 09 is currnt gen and sum ppl r confused about itso a new thread is clearly needed.

to be honest, I hate FIFA game for some reasons:
1. Football should be played in fields not in computers.
2. each FIFA game release is more like a patch instead of a new game.
fifa 98, fifa2002rtwc, fifa06 and now fifa09 are the only ones which deserves a title of "game" instead of "patch".
3. EA = Electronic A******.

anyways, no offense meant. each person has his/her personal opinion.
i'm looking forward for FIFA09 though...it looks promising

thats why i dont make comments about DotA or UT coz i play them but not seriously and dont try to take an insight.....

those ppl who do not see these versions of FIFA under thoughtful speculation will say that fifas are patch..... btw, in one sense these are meant to be patches in some sense.... what do u expect?? do u expect to change the rules of football every year?? just like hero stories in dota versions change?? football has been played on earth for years, how many changes(radical ones) have occurred?? in FIFA what we expect is that the game gets more reality day by day... and although FIFA is doing copy paste of PES for some yrs still they r improving..... i started playing fifa SERIOUSLY from 06.. since then it has been an evolution.... why ppl dont see that?? coz afterall its the beautiful game of Football which has not been changed.... but the changes occurred in gameplay of FIFA are good enough to make fifa players think that they are playing a different game....

and about playing football in field, thats what we should do... but being said that where do we play??... how many schools or colleges have their own playing ground.... and how many of our parents are letting us to play there.....??... and about universities.. most of them dont have their building(called campus) of their own... so where is the scope of playing...... and even if we do play(like me) we cant do everything in the ground.... like i tried a hell lot to do a rainbow in real life ....... but in fifa we can use all of our imagination to see the beautiful game flourish at her best.....

we play pirated copies, so we do not feel the "robbery of EA" each year. But do you honestly believe after buying FIFA06, it is fair that you have to buy FIFA07 and 08?
now, FIFA09 is a different thing..and from what I've seen, it is going to be a version to be remembered.
I expect EA to

• release FIFA each year with major improvements like FIFA06 to FIFA09
• else release patches regularly to update teams/players, fix gameplay issues and release a new FIFA every two/three years.

CvP, FIFA is a game, which everyone loves, although what you said is true, they are like patches, still half the world loves it, and most sports games are like that, still every fall FIFA, NBA LIVE, NFL Madden and other sports titles are the fastest to clear out. Sports games are more fun to somecoz, it reminds em of the sport itself and you can player multiplayer without much hassel, each game is roughly 10-20 mins, and fun when you have friends over. Don't say FIFA is like that, but most sport games are, play NBA Live 06, 07 and 08, you'll laugh so hard. =P

You dumbass, CvP, play 08 on XBOX and see the difference for yourself, how much it has changed! It is very different from the FIFA 07/08 on PC, and much beter too. It's more like PES, but it has a touch of reality to it. Dude, I can tell when Chris Ronaldo, Rooney or Messi has he ball by just looking at their running syles, and nothing else.

consoles?! do you play in those? in case of PC, how much difference there is in case of FIFA07 and FIFA08? is it so much that it deserves to be called a new game and charge money for it?
