Right now i dont have time to check out the new map. so here's a copy-paste:
This hero seems VERY interesting, and requires skill and cunning to play to his best potential. That's my kind of hero (I have a thing for the "weird" characters, just look at my two guides in the sig), and Clockwerk may end up being one of my favorites. However, it'll be a while before anyone can consistently play him, or even get a quality replay since pubs are always terrible and for the first few weeks every pub noob will be battling to pick Clockwerk first.
STATS
Strength: 2.4 + 2.9 (Primary)
Agility: 13 + 1.2
Intelligence: 17 + 1.7
Attack range: 125 (melee)
Starting attack damage: 55-57
Starting armor: 4
Movement speed: 310
Strength is VERY good, both early game and later on. Agility is horrible, but Intelligence is pretty decent (especially when you consider that none of his spells have very high manacosts). Starting armor is solid, and Clockwerk is one of the fastest heroes in the game. This guy seems pretty self-sufficient when it comes to base attributes.
SPELLS
Battery Assault:
This spell is absolutely sick, and I agree that it should be maxed first. Basically, it hits a random enemy unit in a small AOE around you, damaging and causing a ministun every 0.75 seconds for 15 seconds. Don't listen to the tooltip, that "minor" damage builds up FAST.
There are two obvious uses for this spell: ganking/chasing heroes, and neutraling. Against heroes, the small AOE works in your favor because you can chase someone down a lane without worrying that much about creeps taking the shots instead. Against neutrals, this spell is ridiculous. The impact is already noticeable at level one, and at levels 2-4 it tears through neutrals like nothing. Taking on the hard neutral camps is actually quite easy, especially when you combine this with Clockwerk's other spells.
Power Cog:
This creates a rectangular barrier in a small AOE around Clockwerk, trapping in enemy units. The barrier can be attacked and destroyed, but anything with mana that gets close to it gets zapped, losing hp and mana while being knocked away.
This is a great ganking spell provided that you can close to near melee range, because at level 1 it already has a long duration of 3 seconds (6 seconds when fully upgraded). Because of this long starting duration, I think it's possible to more than get by with only one level of this spell, so that you can get Rocket Flare, which is also good.
Rocket Flare:
Imagine Tinker's missile, only you point it in an AOE and it can fly to any point in the map. When it reaches the target area, it damages and provides legal maphack. This spell is quite spammable, so once it's leveled Clockwerk's team will have a great deal of map control even without having to buy wards. It can also occasionally act as a faraway ganking/killshot tool, somewhat like Invoker's Sun Strike.
There are drawbacks though. The damage is very subpar (200 damage when maxed). And while the missile is fast, its speed will seem lacking if you shoot it at a spot across the map. You're going to have to practice leading your shots.
So far, my preferred build is to max Battery, and get one level each of Cog and Rocket. Like Cog, Rocket seems good even if not leveled right away, because at level 1 it's still maphack. Even though its damage is subpar compared to other spells, the fact that this is AOE means that even the 100 damage at level 1 is very good against neutrals (considering this will be your "secondary" damage spell after Battery Assault). Spam Battery and Rocket freely against neutrals to clear even the big camps out quickly.
Hookshot (ultimate):
Basically a reverse Pudge Hook. You get hooked to the target, rather than the target being reeled in to you. I'm not entirely sure, but I think trees can block this! So you're not quite Pudge, hooking from behind trees.
The advantage is that it has MUCH longer range than Pudge's hook, and that anything caught in your path as you're pulling yourself to the target gets stunned and damaged. When maxed this damage (300) and stun (2 seconds) is on par with single-target nuke/stuns; however I feel that it may be unreliable. My problem with this spell is that you don't want anyone to be in your hook's path when you shoot it (like Pudge), but you DO want them to be in the path once the hook is pulling you in. It's not exactly easy to nuke an entire team with this.
Against an escaping enemy, you can use this as a chasing tool. It's effectively a Blink if you can nail your fleeing target with it.
POSSIBLE ITEMS
-Blink Dagger? (ganking, allows you to position for Power Cog)
-Armlet? (quick, cheap DPS for ganking)
-Shiva? (tanking, even more chasing power)
-Radiance? (best DPS option for a tank, can be great if you jungle it fast)
ROLE
Clockwerk's great strength and decent starting armor make him a natural tank. More importantly though, this guy can be a ridiculously powerful ganker if played right, using his numerous nukes/stuns/movement stoppers/chasing tools. He also has some elements of a support hero, being able to hold enemies down for his allies to kill, and legally maphacking.
When it comes to lanes, I see Clockwerk being used best in two ways. My first choice would be to neutral (with an early creep pull or two early in the game). That way he can farm up tons of gold for a great first item, rush to level 6, and pop out of the jungle to gank the ¤¤¤¤ out of opponents. In a lane, I think he's best partnered with someone who has a disable/slow, to set up his Power Cog and get him lots of hits with Battery.
His weakness is that his spells take skill to use, either because they have tiny AOE or they take timing. Clockwerk is also not a DPS hero, and his damage capabilities in a full scale team battle may be lacking (especially with creeps taking up his Battery shots).
Overall, this is a guy who can be very deadly, but can help his team even if he's not doing a lot of damage or getting the kills himself. Without playing him a lot, I predict he will become a favorite and may end up getting nerfed.

played some games with this hero today. he is an amazing ganker and initiator. if combined with puck and/or shaker, any opponents will feel a living hell in DotA.
however, his ultimate is one of the hardest spell to use in dota..it can stun and damage units on the path, but 99.9% of time, this is not going to happen.
power cog is an awesome spell. the knowback+manaburn is really useful.
this hero tends to become useless as the game goes by and has a PATHETIC base agility + agility gain.
rattletrap is also a great counter to all/most melee hero team and skeleton
range heroes and heroes like jakiro (huge DOT in a fixed area) are great counters of rattletrap in team battles.

This hero is FAAAAAAAAAAAAR from competitive play! even farther than SenSeiFAAAAAAAR!
Steene / Lightstrike - Level 80 Rogue/Paladin - Bloodcraft Blizzclone US
Anestean - Level 80 Paladin - AlphaWoW EU
Pyro.Dynam1cs - Garena - Main competitive account
DietPepsicola - Garena - Trolling, "secret" pub owning account.
Agility people agility. He attacks only twice in a minute!! so low agility makes me radiance lover.
As for the fleeing heroes with 10 - 90 HP, "dont just run, run with creativity", because Cloakwerk's flare loves you.
Its just [EB]. Not Elite B[a]stard or anything like that.
i think our maiden attacks faster than this goblin o_O

S n y kemon hoi? Maim, ministun deadly combo...
rad is ok IF you can get it before 25min. this hero is really bad in farming and even if you farm hard with rad (you job is to gank not farm), you can't fully utilize all the items you will get. on the other hand, getting a bkb ASAP ensures that you will not die in battles.
shiva is good, but overkill. with just a bottle, he doesn't have any mana problem at all. even without bottle, he can manage it. asslt is better.
i think getting a BKB; then rad or shiva or both or asslt is better.
sometimes, lothars/dagger is also a good idea.

no use galib bhai..if you try to make those items, you wont be killing early game.
he can either farm or gank..not both at the same time because he has no farming skill at all. add a MoM to the build i suggested if you wanna be a killing machine.
