    Best i guess general split.
But panasonic is also good. 2ton will cover 300sft afaik, except topfloor and crowded office.

What do you mean by 1 ton A/C? You're quiet a scientist so you should not follow those ideas.

1 of A/C means it can freeze 1 ton of water at 0C to 1 ton of ice at 0C by 24 hours. Figure out the rate at which you can dump heat energy outside.
Figure out the amount of heat coming into your room by using the thermal conductivity of you wall/windows etc.

I did the same calculations when I bought my A/C and figured out that a 1 ton A/C is capable of reducing my room temperature by 5C from outside temperature. And that is almost exactly what it is doing. I can't reduce more than 6C.
    seeing is believing..

kon shop a gesila, they are trying to rip u , 1 ton is more than enough for 300 sf for split ac. split er main subidha hoilo eita auto temp control kore, like tumi 18 dila, when ur rooms gets 18 ac will be auto off, when ur rooms get hot ac will be on again.it saves a lot of electricity.and u dont have to make a big hole in ur wall.

1 ton ac means , it give the cold that 1 ton of ice will give in 24 hour. and in newer ac u can control room temp no matter the temp outside.but it also gives huge current bill.

@solid snake what on earth u r trying to mean?!!!!

@sameev29 I just bought 1.5 ton window AC for my 196 sqft room. The brand is LG 3 year compressor and 1 year service warranty. Price 43,500. 18000 btu

Only go for split that has a inverter based compressor it will save electricity bill in the long run.
