Default MS working with teenage Xbox hacker 'to develop his talent', ajob??

well seems like MS is less worried about hacking and stuffs, as they have recruited a teenage hacker responsible for the phishing alert during MW2 matchmaking..well i think this will encourage other hackers to hack MS..cause believe it or not, my cousin once said, bill gates recruits hacker and develop them for MS, well at least for legitimate function

btw read the thread from cvg

Dublin lad was responsible for Modern Warfare 2 phishing alert
An Irish schoolboy behind a Modern Warfare 2 phishing alert on Xbox 360 has reportedly been taken under Microsoft's wing.

According to the Herald, the 14-year-old Dublin lad was responsible for millions of 360 users being alerted to potential phishing attempts via title specific messaging following a Modern Warfare 2 hack.

During a keynote speech at Bank of Ireland Business Week, Microsoft Ireland GM Paul Rellis is reported to have said that the company's now working with the teenager to 'develop his talent and help him use his skills for legitimate purposes'. That's one way to deal with it.

Microsoft said last night that Xbox Live Marketplace is back up and running again following a service disruption yesterday.

Well, if you can put talent to use in the right way, I don't see anything wrong with it, it's certainly not the least bit strange, there're many examples where a hacker actually got employed by a company because of his or her talent.

your right on that..but it'll encourage more hackers, there is two way this can end, one he might become an employee for MS preventing hacks or other could be very bad. but too bad for a 14 year old to send phishing scam to a game like MW2.

It has been this way since the beginning.e.g. A lot of facebook programmers are actually hackers that ¤¤¤¤ed up myspace and other sites. Hackers don't need any encouragement. They do it because of the thrill and sense of accomplishment they get from breaking these security systems. Kinda like solving a mathematical problem. And lets not forget the CEHs.
