    Default "Gaming's Top 10 T-Rexes" - IGN

Gaming's best examples of dinosaur's best dinosaur.

    10. The Primal Carnage T- Rex

Primal Carnage isn't even out yet, but the T-Rex from the upcoming FPS has already made the list. And that's because he has the potential to be the greatest video game dinosaur history has ever seen. Primal Carnage is a multiplayer shooter that lets you play as either a dinosaur, or a human. Yeah, you're controlling that 中中叉r, and you're using it to eat the hell out of everyone in sight. NOM NOM NOM, 中中中.

    9. Radical Rex

Radical Rex is a game about a T-Rex that must roar violently and spit out bubbles and fire on his quest to meet his girlfriend Rexanne. Which is a nice way of saying he has to tell her he has a dinosaur STD.

    8. Any T-Rex from Tomb Raider

Lara Croft has shot a lot of things in the face over the years, but the most badass one is definitely the t-rex (any of them. She's fought like a half dozen of them by this point). Rex comes bursting out of the jungle, flinging raptors into ancient temple ruins. If you're not fast, the t-rex will eat Lara Croft on a variety of crunchy ways. How does Lara respond to seeing a miracle of science and nature, the only living dinosaur still left? She 中中夕ng kills it.

    7. Dinosaur on the cover of DinoCity

What makes Rex, the T-Rex from Dinocity so incredible is that while he may pretend to be a dinosaur who can live in our world and by our rules, if you pay close attention you'll realize that he's interested in everything but. First off, he's perfectly content with shopping at our earthly stores and wearing our earthly purple pleather jean jackets. You know, just like we wear! But pants? 中中 no. Pants are for idiots. Size 46 shoes on the other hand are totally fair game. So Rex is essentially a stylish yet free-balling dinosaur whose best friend is a skateboarder, but he limits his human interaction to straight lounging in the desert listening to his own Walkman instead of engaging in actual conversation. Which is fine because who wants to talk to that stupid looking kid anyway? Rex, we salute your pants-less, snowboarding glasses and fashion sense that resembles a long lost Double Dare game show prize closet. Now just eat that kid already. He's worthless.

    6.Gon from Tekken 3

Gon is some 中中中 dinosaur who likes to bully other prehistoric animals. Also for some reason he was in Tekken 3 as a hidden character. And unlike the rest of those Tekken wimps he could take a fire blast attack no problem. He made that raptor with boxing gloves look like a chump.

    5. Archie from Dinosaurs for Hire

Plenty of T-Rexes made this list for obvious reasons. They're giant, vicious animals hell-bent on destruction and the domination of all things smaller in their species. And for a T-Rex, that pretty much qualifies as "just good enough." For a video game T-Rex, that's just about passable. Just being a T-Rex is pretty much phoning it in when it comes to a list like this, and that's where the Dinosaurs for Hire really excel. Archie the T-Rex is a cigar smoking hitman looking wise-中 who kills dinosaurs ten times bigger than him with his custom magnum. Oh, and that's when he runs out of tommy gun bullets. He's joined by other equally badass dinosaurs Lorenzo, Reese and Cyrano who join forces to resemble what is probably a dinosaur version of Westside Story minus the women, dancing and critical praise.

    4. Zombie T-Rex from Dino Crisis 3

There have been a ton of movies, comics, and video games about resurrecting dinosaurs, but Dino Crisis took it to a whole nother level of batsh*t insane. Why resurrect dinosaurs when you can reanimate their fossilized corpses and have mutant zombie dinosaurs?! His skin is rotting off his bones, and he isn't gonna just eat your brain, he'll eat your whole body, too! The zombie rex would be a hell of a lot higher on this list if he were an actual boss battle, but instead he gets killed by some raptor-slugs. Lame.

    3. Laser Rex from Turok: Dinosaur Hunter

So after stabbing raptors in the face for six hours, how do you end Turok on a high note? By having a t-rex that shoots lasers from his eye! Officially named "Boss" and affectionately nicknamed "that 中中夕ng dinosaur with the lasers", this t-rex could light stuff on fire and murder Native Americans like it was going out of style, which by the '90s it pretty much had.

    2. Sauron from Primal Rage

There were two t-rexish dinosaurs in Primal Rage, but only losers picked that red one. It was all about Sauron, who for some reason spot pink energy beams from his mouth. While he didn't fart on you like the monkeys, or lure people into sex temples like that serpent looking dinosaur, Sauron was the most classic. He also had the most gruesome and disgusting win screen. Yum brains.

    1. The T-Rex that Roars SEGA from the Jurassic Park Game

Hey look, it's video games in the 90s summed up with a single roar. The Jurassic Park t-rex is the greatest t-rex pop culture has ever produced, and he was badass in this game (throw a flash grenade on that raft level or he will eat your sorry 中). But the fact that he roars out SEGA's admittedly dumb catchphrase was the sheer pinnacle of the 16-bit era. Name a cooler moment. YOU CAN'T.
