But once it fell from 3 feet up on the floor many months ago.At that time it suddenly turned off.But when i restarted it everything was fine.Do you think the display problem has something to do with this?

    Donno what that is.

I have a question of my own, do the laptops here come with genuine windows? A friend of mine got the 'your windows is not genuine' message. And I used win7 loader on it and it corrupted the MBR :/

90% laptops in BD don't have genuine windows. I bought my laptop from USA with 36000tk with genuine Windows 7 Home Premium. The same laptop in BD costs 38000tk without genuine Windows. So I guess the cost for the Windows which is around $100 is the profit the BD laptop dealers get.

IDB probably ripped you off, my dell laptop was dropped 3 feet slamming concrete tiles, my hard disk shattered inside its own cover, display was out of order as well, I had to pay only for hdd replacement but display was fixed opening the case from north of keyboards re-attaching cords, which was free by the way.
