Asus MS228H LED Monitor Video Quality. Need your Help!

Several days ago i purchase this monitor. Everything is Ok except when i m running any video i can see some black/gray square like spot. It is clearly visible on black background when i see from top/standing position. Is it common for all led/lcd monitor? or it is monitor's fault.

amra actually kono spot dekhte partesi na coz screenshots dont capture ur monitor's fault.

U gotta take a pic using a DSLR if we are to notice the difference.

Actually the spotted are seen when i am in standing position and watch from the top of the screen. As these spots moves, that may not be because of dead pixel (i m not sure). I also see this type of spots on another lcd monitor. So not sure whether it happens because of non hd movie. Can any one upload a clip of any hd movie/song (20 sec.) with a screen shot so that i can compare?

Hope you r right. I found this monitor MS228H only one shop in IDB. Its pretty costly too (at least Tk3,000) compare to other LED monitor.

Its a common thing. My one also has 1 dead pixel. You can't RMA if there is only 1 DP. This is the only problem that ASUS monitor has. Otherwise, ASUS rocks!

This dead pixel is a common issue for Asus monitors.. I have seen a lot complain about that.

it is not a issue of dead pixel........i have this prb in my movies too........it is because of poor quality of the ripped movie............adjust colors/contrast/gamma frm ur gfx control panel while playing that movie

bro.......even i have a dead pixel on my monitor..........and trust me.......adjusting those settings as i mentioned above will certainly reduce this problem

ACSR, sharpness and saturation, skin tone, aspect control are disable.

What is the function of OSD setup and trace free?

Bro,these settings differ from monitor to monitor............as for my samsung b2230 i played wid nvidia control panel......it is best to try it out for yourself while playing movies....as i run on my integrated gpu now,i can't remember those numbers i used to use with my gts 250.....just try to lower the overall gamma.........it will surely help u...........

OMG!! One of my friend, sabbir, bought this monitor 3-4 months ago and since then he has been getting EXACT SAME, i repeat EXACT SAME dead pixel problem. AND THIS IS NOT A MOVIE PROBLEM. His dead pixel showed on playing DiRT2. I saw that with my own eyes.
