NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 Video Card Series Announced

We heard rumors that NVIDIA was readying budget friendly graphics card called the GeForce GT 520 and it looks like that card has come out. NVIDIA never mentioned it to us officially, so all the information we have on it is from a Gainward press release that came out this morning. The card looks like it has core clock of 810MHz, the stream processors are clocked at 1620MHz and there are 48 of them. The card has 1GB of DDR3 memory running at 535Mhz on a 64-bit bus. This card is more than likely going to compete with the recently announced AMD Radeon HD 6450 that came out last week at the $55 price point. These cards should be of interest to those building media PCs or looking for a performance bump over integrated graphics on a CPU or motherboard. You can see the Gainward GeForce GT 520 pictured below.
Gainward brand new GeForce GT 520 series: it is packed with 48 cores which is clocked at 810 MHz and geared with 1GB of DDR3 memory clocked at 535 MHz on a 64bits bus. Gainward has equipped both models with HDMI, DVI and CRT outputs to insure maximum compatibility with your hardware. Gainward GeForce GT 520 series is designed to enable all types of digital media PCs from HTPCs to 3D PCs. The efficient Gainward custom cooling system will keep the cards quiet and cool with low power consumption even at full charge. The card fully supports DirectX 11 for high quality gaming and visuals. Along with NVIDIA CUDA and PhysX technology, gamers will enjoy real-time environmental effects and character interactions.

ASUS Releases NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 Silent Low Profile Graphics Card

ASUS has released the ASUS GT 520, a graphics card that combines great performance with a low profile that is perfectly suited to be used in an HTPC. With an innovative fanless design, the GT 520 efficiently and silently dissipates heat while still offering outstanding graphics performance. 1GB of DDR3 memory and Microsoft DirectX 11 support means the GT 520 displays the latest in multimedia entertainment with ease. I'm not sure about you guys, but the ASUS GeForce GT520 Silent is a pretty wicked looking graphics card. The heat sink on it looks pretty good and you can't beat 0dB from a video card!
Based on the NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 GPU, the ASUS GT 520 is equipped with an efficiently designed heatsink that passively cools the GT 520 so absolutely no sound is produced while running. This ensures a quiet environment, and combined with the low profile of the graphics card makes it perfect for hushed gaming and multimedia enjoyment via home theater PCs and multimedia centers. The GT 520 is great for gaming, but also speeds up the editing of videos and photos. Enjoy a richer web experience with GPU accelerated browsers like Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9.
