vai, z5500 is quite heavy. the sub alone weights 25kg. now if you dont have any official distributor in bangladesh then you will have to bear the trasportation cost. if i want to bring my z5500 in bd then it will cost me 90 pounds just to ship. i bought it for 200 pounds. then there are various taxes. so 40k for z5500 is actually not that bad. again this one will be cheaper cause it weights around 15kg in total. so shipping cost will be cheaper. right now i am planning to bring this one as well but only after selling z5500.

Well these are the best satellite speakers out there because they use tagbang fullrange drivers, still not in the league of the Microlab SOLO series, these things perform as good as sub 1000 dollar speakers for the fraction of the price.
Surprisingly they are cheaper here !
    FTW!!!!!!!!!!

why logitech do these things. why they need to release every single product with just a few new look & old one completely out of market with the same amount of money. i just don't get it. i am fan of logitech. i almost own every single exclusive gaming gears 4m the company. but, these things doesn't make any sense to me at all.
first they did with G51 that was also 5.1 THX,DTS speaker then discontinued & the same price tag 400$ z5500 now after 3 years same ¤¤¤¤ing price z906
they not only did this on the speaker section. but, also with wheels. G25=300$(discontinued),G27=300$.whereas there is no noticeable performance gain on G27. just a simple 4 button addition & a rpm indicator that is no use bcoz no support in most of the games.
i am not complaining about the company. i love the brand. but, this type of things just seems that they just don't have anything in their mind rather then releasing old refurbished product giving them a shine new look & take them to the market @ the same old price.

if i had money i would buy B&W MT 25 set and yamaha ax763 amp. this combination is a beast and blow you away!!! i watched a movie and played game on this in one of friends home. i wish i could buy those. and good speakers can be differenciated if you have bigger room and decent sound card. with builtin sound card and small crampy place logitech z5500 is a waste. microlab is perfect for our country in that sense.

this a usual business plan. who is going to buy same product after 3 years? geforce 580 is basically geforce 480 with die shrink and a little performance boost. ipad 2 is same as ipad with just few little addition. i think z906 was a delay. i first saw z5500 in 2005 but couldnt buy this.

I don't understand whats wrong with people. Why do they compare BD's price with US's price? In UK Amazon, Logitech Z-5500 costs 300 pounds. That is equivalent to 34,500tk. Compare that with our price now. If you still say this is a cutthroat price, then good luck getting high end products.
    seeing is believing..

first they did with G51 that was also 5.1 THX,DTS speaker then discontinued & the same price tag 400$ z5500 now after 3 years same ¤¤¤¤ing price z906
they not only did this on the speaker section. but, also with wheels.

On board sound card er SNR khub baje, if you want to enjoy music/games I suggest you get a minimum X-fi titanium. Now that aside, I recommend a dedicated receiver. You can find Cambridge 5.1 receivers for 500 + dollars, they are worth every penny.
BTW my dad owns all kinds of receivers and amps, funny thing I found is his most expensive amps (Vaccum tube amps) have only the RCA cables, now Im guessing the signal needs to be converted when your using SPDIF/ optical, so alot of audio enthusiasts dont like it, they prefer raw sound as do I.

Man hearing my dads custom made Ef-84 and El-86 vaccum tube combo, I still cant find anything worth it. Sadly abba amake eishob kichu dei nah :\. Tar lakh lakh takar speaker aso, oneck gula pore thake, hat o dite dei nah, likewise I dont let him touch my PC HAHAHAHHHAHA.

Oh and the main turn off about the logitech speakers are that they use tangband fullrange drivers, which is a good thing taken the performance of the drivers are exceptional, thus you have the proper mids in these speakers that are missing from most creatives, but the thing is its still over priced, the price wouldve been good if they had used 4" FF drivers. Why I got interested in Microlab is that they are co-developing their new products with the help of Peter larson and most of their amps use TDA 2050 chips (which logitech also use btw), now microlab have made awesome drivers, especially the ones found in the solo 7C and the FC speakers. The V16, S12 and FC woofers that he has developed for Microlab all give exceptional performance, for a extremely good price tag.
At first I thought Microlab still sucked like before and this Peter larson thing was a hoax, but it did turn out to be true and they are even marketing it, apparently I wanted to get my hands on their Pure 3 speakers http://www.microlab.cn/product_detai...mallclassid=83 but they are discontinued but what I found was interesting was that the solo 7c was the same ¤¤¤¤ with a lower powered amp and a cheaper body (Real wood vs plywood), but performance wise nearly Identical thus they perform like sub 1000 dollar audio systems !
Currently Id have to say Im very satisfied with my speakers, they perform like my dads AE bookshelfs, the AE have better mid performance where as the solo 7's have better and smoother bass tones.

Logitech, creative and other PC speaker manufacturers are overhyped and charge way too MUCH. Dont underestimate microlab, I really am suprised by their new speakers (not talking about the ones below 6K btw) Youd have to get a minimum pro 1 or solo 6 to understand what Im talking about.

thank for the info. i might be interested to buy solo to use as surround and external sub and center. i dont know if it is possible. cause microlabs speakers are sold as sets. so is there any option to connect this speakers to seperate receiver?

Sound card e alade channel e lagai challachi, what would be better is to get a receiver for better SNR and better sonic performance.
Im gonna get a cambridge audio receiver.

I just shifted, gotta love my new room as Im loving the sound from my 4x solo 7cs here, I just finished plugging them after a week I shifted though (yeah Imma lazy), Damn Im Indulged in In between dreams by Jack Johnson.

Dont underestimate microlab, I really am suprised by their new speakers (not talking about the ones below 6K btw) Youd have to get a minimum pro 1 or solo 6 to understand what Im talking about.
vai what did i told u first. i am a real time practical experience believer. so,unless i see noticeable difference between built in & external sound card. & did i ask u for ur music experience. if u have 1000$ music instrument then very good. happy music listening. my current speker is creative inspire 2.1 is 7 years old. & all of my accessories are 4m logitech. so,all i want is 5.1 DTS sound system. & i asked u specifically for spdif/optical cable. not comparison between rca/spdif/optical.
& both of u seems very professional music listener. it's really good. but, please do realize that not everyone are that type of listener & they neither have the $$$$$$ instruments.
do not take it otherwise. this is just a simple reply. nothing personal here

@speed You don't need any sound card for Z5500 as it got digital input..Now-a-days every decent mobo has optical & coaxial out..that'll drive your Z5500 perfectly. There won't be any performance difference between onboard & discrete sound card in case of digital speakers because they don't need any DACs(digital to analog converter). Sound card matters when it comes to analog speakers because high quality analog speakers(like Gigaworks T3, G500, Altec Lansing 5021, 6021) need excellent DAC to reproduce sound fields accurately. Onboard audio chip's DACs are far worse than the DACs of X-fis of Xonars. So onboard audios cannot cut it for the great analog speakers. Hope I have helped.

arey vai sheijjonoi tou bollum. that's why i asked them for the quality & availability & the price of spdif/optical cable. my assumption agrees completely with u. whenever the sound is transmitting in a digital wave form rather than analogue. the quality should remain the same. my mobo is equipped with both spdif & optical
