Default Advice wanted on some minor upgrade

I'm usually good at giving out advice regarding upgrades to others but it seems when it comes to myself, I'm in all sorts of (!) doubts.. Right.. Enough with the introductory talk, on to the topic.

Will it be worthwhile to upgrade from an Albatron PXP43 motherboard which supports DDR2, to an Intel original DP45SG, and DDR3, and if it is worthwhile, is keeping an XFX 9800GT Green 512MB DDR3 for dedicated physX alongside with an ATI 4850 (built by ATI) as the primary PCI EXPRESS on it? I have no intention of buying new computer goods except for power supply, hard drive and memory modules (haven't bought a single new motherboard or processor or graphics card since 2008) so also take this into consideration while giving suggestions that core i7s aren't available in the second hand market yet!

I would strongly suggest you not to buy an Intel board, ECS P45T-A Black Edition or Asus P43TD would be far better. Both are priced below 6K. And it'd be better if you could buy a faster primary GPU.

And about the i7 thing, if you can anyhow manage to import Core i7 980X or 990X to BD, you surely will stand a chance of buying Rakin the Devil's Core i7 920. I think you got my point.

Budget seems to be the biggest factor here right now I'm on phone, will give you the rep when I'm on pc, and thanks for the import idea If I had that much money to import processors I wouldn't have come to you guys asking for minor advices, would I? But still love the idea of how I could manage to get a 2nd hand core i7, I did have intentions of bringing some aftermarket VGA coolers that're look alikes of the renowned brands (the manufacturer claims that these are direct factory produced so no branding or labeling on them) and heatsinks for RAM/VGA VRM/Mosfets, thermal tapes and etc. but then realised people in Bangladesh will not opt for aftermarket graphics card coolers because of the thought of risking warranty, which is why I said goodbye to the thought, but will think about some solutions for keeping the VRM'S cool though, as keeping it cool ensures stability and longer product life, and a tip for the overclockers and owners of high end gpus of this forum, do keep an eye out for your VRM temperatures if your card supports it, as VRM are supposed to fail when reaching temperatures above 120 degrees, constant temperature above 72 degrees plus may decrease the life span of your product, though I'm pretty sure you all are aware of this fact.

Oh, btw, the 4850 and the intel mobo are my only options here, because The ECS P45 nor the Asus P43 can be found in the second hand market so basically, the suggestions are either the upgrade is worth it, or not and if the motherboard upgrade is not worthy, should I sell off my 9800GT green and only keep the 4850? I haven't had this much financial CRYSIS in a long long time! Otherwise, I wouldn't have become a second-hand goodies only purchaser!

I'm a poor S.O.B. (atleast for now!) and can only dream of core i7s, the best I can afford is to maybe have a few promo posters of it hung on to my wall.. Not even gonna go to the thought of buying one! (Ja ache ta to bechtei hobe plus shathe jaiga jomi bondhok dite hobe )

Lightbulb Re: Advice wanted on some minor upgrade

    - Don't buy Intel p 45 mobo. You wont see a performance difference at all. Also this series Intel mobos are not so good.
    - Sell your 9800 GT card. It's not a good card as your one has got very low core clock, memory clock. Also it's a XFX card.It may dead soon (Allha na koruk). But u can keep it for phsyx. It totally depends on u .
    - Defiantly buy 4850 or better one if you found in second hand market..

@Arif69 the P43 motherboard has only one Pci Express 2.0 slot so I can't keep both the cards under one hood unless I get the P45, and I know a dying product when I see one, that 9800GT card of mine will surely serve atleast a year more regardless whether I OC it or not, just call it a hunch, thank you for your opinion! And @Rakin the Devil , No Matter what the outcome of this topic is, I'll take your P45 Mobo if not for my own usage, for my cousin as he needs a pc too and has to be efficient and cheap.

Another fact, which card to go for? ATI Manufactured 4850 512MB for 4.2K Or 1GB sapphire 4830 for 5K? There are the two options.

first && foremost, never go for intel motherboard ... instead, Asus || GB would be far more wiser choice ... upgrading from p43 -> p45 won't be that much beneficial either 'cause, DDR3 isn't meant to be for LGA775, anyway , yeah, a several processor of in that category have 1333MHz bus which can match up with DDR3 memory modules frequency theoretically pretty fine but even so, i'd say, save some more bucks and go for state-of-the-art architecture since to me, u're not seem like those type of people who upgrade very frequently ...

Sorry if your post looks mis-quoted, something is not right with the Banglagamer mobile version, and Yes the 2 GPUs were the only reason behind the purchase of the P45 Motherboard, as I don't have much interest in overclocking my CPU, maybe marginal overclock, nothing over 500 MHZ from the stock speed.. and the DDR3 is also another fact as I can easily buy a 2 GB module by just selling off my current 2 GB DDR2 module.

The Intel P45 mobo that you are desperate to buy is not so a good mobo IMO.Here is some customer reviews of this mobo - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813121348

And yes I know that P43 doesn't has 2 PCIEX slot.I said to use 9800 GT if u buy any 2 PCIEX slot mobo then.I said there "it totally depends on you".U should have understand that.

@amateur_geek I used to upgrade frequently once upon a time, but those days have changed and now I'm pretty much stuck I do know that there isn't much to choose between a P43 chip mobo and P45 Mobo except for a few extra features and more room for overclock, but as I've said in the introduction, when it comes to myself I'm not the wisest.. And from experience I've screwed things up by making poor upgrades in the past that eventually led me to my downslide (Like upgrading from AMD 64BIT 2800 and x800 AGP and DDR memory to a mere 3600 x2 and was stuck with the onboard x1250 Gpu, though my aunt saved me by gifting me an EVGA 8800Ultra back then, the card's cooler broke and I replaced it with the cooler from a dead HIS X800 And the temperatures were fine then sold it) so this is why I asked so that I don't screw up again.

@Arif69 I did get your point on your first post and I've read the newegg reviews long ago, seems there're mixed opinions about the mobo in many sites so I'm calling it a 50-50, I just don't understand why I make poor decisions or suffer from indecisions whenever the decision is regarding myself but I'm known for providing brilliant suggestions for others

    ---------- Post added at 21:50 ---------- Previous post was at 21:46 ----------

@Mohiuddin a total of 10k which includes GPU, RAM and mobo, so no new products are on my mind!

I bought Borderlands GOTY legit copy :s which was a mistake, a big one as I spent $30 on it just so that I'll have early access to Duke Nukem Forever Demo when it is available, another fine example of my goof ups

As it has got a 50-50 chance. So taking it would be risky, though you buy second hand products so u can take this risk .But if something goes wrong then!

Previously it also happened to me when I changed hardware frequently & also bought secondhand products. But right now am free from this as I don't make upgrade often & don't buy second hand products without warranty .

to get the advantage of ddr3(1333mhz) you have to OC your cpu a bit...your cpu fsb is 800mhz & to meet 1333mhz ddr3 you have to run it at 3.66ghz(1333mhz fsb)....not little at all...i don't think moving to ddr3 is worthwhile unless you do that
