    Post Suggestion needed for UPS

    I have athlonII x2 with 740gmP25 mobo....1gb ddr3...and 4850 gpu.
my power supply is delux 450 watt but as far i know it gives about only 300~320watt.
monitor CRT 17'' needs less than 70watt i think.

    total less than 400watt

Now suggest an UPS for my pc which will give me at least 1hours backup.I usually play cod4 online and download.

But one thing....guaranty is important for me.

expecting minimum of an hour backup with that CRT would need a 1000VA ups since CRT tends to consume a hell of power than LCD || LED ... that will do at idle mood, i presume but in gaming? well, that's another story ...
i'd prefer RA || Micro 1000VA , both are cost 7.2k && have showroom at IDB /* Micro's one at the first floor but can't recall about RA's one ... */ talking about the guarantee, RA will provide 3years replacement warranty && sorry, don't know about Micro but they sure won't serve less than a year ...

I would recommend the RA 1000VA & I'm using one right now! But I'm not sure about the backup time since it's rated at 40mins at full load! I'm guessing it would be around 25-30mins if you are gaming. You would need more than 1kVA to get more than 1yr backup & these are very costly.

aside from gaming, the arch enemy of u're goal is that CRT ... at full charge, a 1000VA can cover almost 45-50minutes easily though, it may vary with rig but should be suffice for u're one and talking about gaming, u may get hardly 15 minutes backup with 1KVA ... how about get rid of that CRT ? otherwise, u might have to consider 1.5-2KVA online ups which i'm afraid, out of reach for most of us and unfortunately, both RA and Micro aren't manufacturing over 1KVA offline ups anymore ... if u can change that CRT and get a 18.5" LCD/ LED u'll get more or less 1hour backup in idle but note that, the scenario won't much change for gaming ...
about the brand, both are renown brand for their superior performance and of course, they're quite pricey ...

Get a RA 1000VA. With your setup and a lcd monitor (15"-18.5") you'll get around 30-40min backup (idle). I'm using one btw.

And if you really need 1hr or more backup time then you have to get a online ups and the cost will go up (50K or more).

    RA 1000VA - ~6.8k
    Micro 2000VA - ~17k

Ya probably. 650x0.6=390W This is the power factor calculation, as long as your OC is under that, it should be fine.
