Frankly the Disadvantages of DDR3 r more than Advantages r8 now.

1.Costs a lot more than DDR2
2.Needs an Expensive Motherboard
3.Only an Average of about 5% performance increase

The huge bandwdith Advantage of DDR3 brings noticeable performace increase in Server application not games

DDR3 sux

1) high price
2) not backward compitable
3) less perfomance increse then actually said
4) if u have 2 ddr3 ram of 2 gb like 1gb and another 1gb in a set and one goes nosto, then u have to change the other wan also .. itz kindda like complicated and itz architecture follows Rd ram style but Rd ram PAWNS
5) needs more powerful motherboards
6) not widely available in BD market so goes international market
