First time poster - help with up-gradation?
Hey guys, this is my first post in here and I need some help regarding upgrading some of my computer hardware. This place was highly suggested by a friend to make use of and take sensible decision about my purchases. I am going to be upfront here and let you guys know that I have very minimal knowledge about any of this stuff. So I would really appreciate some help from you guys.
Basically, my current PC was bought 6 years back from Ryans where I basically told them to muster up a PC which will be good enough to last a couple of years. Thankfully it did, even though the last couple of years has seen the system go through some slowdowns. Last year I got a Transcend SSD, where I have installed my OS which has showed some pretty good performance and that is basically the only internal hardware I have added/changed to my whole system this last 6 years. I am not much of a Gamer, so GPU has never been a important factor for me.(Or maybe because I have never had a good GPU to play games with). Here is a Screenshot of my Computer's spec from speccy:
Now, I have a budget of around 30K where I would like to update my CPU/Motherboard/RAM. I would like an core i5 , around 8Gb Ram and a decent motherboard. I know I can get an core i3 and keep the rest as savings. But as I never basically upgrade my system, was thinking might as well put up with an i5 and forget about it for at least the next 3-4 years. So, could you guys please provide me with some options and combinations of this three items which would be worth purchasing and from where? IF I have some money saved up later on, i may eventually get a decent GPU in the near future as well. I know this post has been pretty long and filled with some irrelevant stuff but I wanted to be thorough and hopefully this post can be the first of many from me as a member of this forum for the foreseeable future.
welcome to bg, TLR but what im getting is you need to upgrade your system and with 30K its tough to get all those items but i can say
get an i5 okay 15k gone,
with the next 15k get 4GB * 2, 1600MHz each might cost around 5k
and then get a good B85, maybe from Asus/MSI.
even if u add a decent GPU and i5 will be enough for it and it will serve you for 3 years for sure.
Any i5 4th gen ~16k
Gskill ripjaws 8gb ram 6.5k
Asus/Msi B85 mobo ~8.5k
An i5 4460 costs 14k, get a Gskill 8gb Ram from Vanguard bhai for 5.5k and then an H81 mobo for 5k
