Bro, let me give you a suggestion. If you don't buy any K series Sandy Bridge processor, there is no point in buying a P67 board. Rather get a H67 board. This is just my suggestion, but the final decision is up to you. And try to go for at least HD5770.

Non-K CPUs like the 2400 can overclock to 3.8GHz, and sorry I didn't know that you would OC. So yes, you can go for this CPU and the P67 board. Good luck.

Dont go for sandybridge now, on cheaper boards there are only two sata 6GB/s and ei non B3 stepping er jei bug ase the sata 3gb/s transistor overvolts the ports, thus resulting in your port ruined after sometime, if you do go Sandybridge wait out a while.

Phenom performs about 8~10 % faster, and yes this is very much noticable and also you can overclock the phenom much better, it comes with a better stock cooler and has an unlocked multiplier, I would say its worth it, but if you want performance thats is first gen I7's I highly recommend you go for the phenom x6 http://www.guru3d.com/article/phenom...090t-review/16.

i3 is a pure bullshit. Although it has 4 threads, the number of cores is 2, where Phenom has four cores, which will be really good as latest games recommend 4 cores. I would suggest the X4 if you are on a tight budget, but as Zulk bro suggested, X6 would be much better.

Smile Re: CPU and PC buying help

Dont go for sandybridge now, on cheaper boards there are only two sata 6GB/s and ei non B3 stepping er jei bug ase the sata 3gb/s transistor overvolts the ports, thus resulting in your port ruined after sometime, if you do go Sandybridge wait out a while.

Intel H6 Series Motherboard has no problem.
