I think Intel's 1156 socket is going to be dead like 775 or 478 soon. Whenever Intel can solve the chipset issue of the 1155 motherboards, the Sandy bridge processors will replace the 1156(even cheap 1366 cpus will be under pressure) processors in no time. In this moment, going for an 1156 system will make you regret later.

Going for an six core AMD will make you benifitted if you work with heavily multithreaded apps like Video encoding, Rendering etc.. With a good mobo(890FX,GX) you can OC your PH-II black edition processor easily to get a decent clock speed(like 3.5-3.6ghz) because it got the advantage of unlocked multiplier.

My best suggestion for you would be to wait for the Sandys to come and then make a decision about upgrading the CPU & mobo..

ok....Now - First of all - i dont have time....wait korte korte bura hoia gelam....enough!!!.....i am gonna purchase my PC within 15-20 days. If sandy has any chance to come in this time then maybe i am cool with it.
Like all other buddies here already know - my mainstream works are RENDERING and MULTITHREADED works.....so AMD was and forever will be my #1 priority.......but i am not sure if the good mobo's from Gigabyte (890FX or 890GX) are available....ami goto porshu multiplan e gia pai nai.....don't know IDB te ase ki na....

SO if i have well designed motherboards then i will indeed puchase Phenom II X6.....but are they here??....those good mobos??....i need smart designed motherboards....MSI 890gx is very lame in motherboard design....are Gigabyte 890 series available in BD????

Someone please acknowledge with shop name and if possible contact number!!!

It's just because of the turbo boost feature of i7 870.. a simple oc of i7 930 can easily make them equal..

ok....Now - First of all - i dont have time....wait korte korte bura hoia gelam....enough!!!.....i am gonna purchase my PC within 15-20 days.

WRONG!!!An i7 930 OC can easily beat 870......No no GTX 570 in bd but GTX 580 ase.....I didnt see any Giga 890 in BD yet.....880 ase judio......

Sandy bridge is faster than both x58 and P55 platform.
My opinion would be wait till bulldozer comes out, I forsee a major architectural change, new consoles are on their way and I suspect by 2012 the hardware that will hit the shelves will be revolutionary (remember 2006, conroe and unfied pixel shader arc with 8800 )

Well, I wouldn't have said this if gaming was your primary concern, which I think is not. AFAIK, you do 3d modeling and so, you might want to check out AMD's Thuban X6 CPUs. Yes, Intel will win in single threaded benchmarks but with 6 real cores, the total performance of AMD's offerings will be higher than Intel's ones which features only 4 real cores. In 3ds max, all renderers are properly multi core optimized and so are most other features (with some exceptions). So, that might be a better choice.
Also, you may consider getting a dual CPU motherboard which will be perfect for such work. You can buy a CPU now and add another later when you need to upgrade, doubling up the power.
Another thing... I'm not sure about your works but I think you should consider more than 8 GB of RAM as your renders may be ruined when the program crashes halfway through the render for the lack of memory. It happened to me only twice, so chances are low, though. But in both cases, you should go for the 4GB sticks instead of 2GB ones, leaving much room for future upgrades.

    You decide what to do...
