    My config:
    i 3
    4gb 1333ddr3
    Ati 5750
    Gigabyte h55 d2h
    250gb sata Hdd

    so far i have played quite a number of games. Cod 4 Cod black ops dirt 2 nfs hot pursuit etc.

    I bought a gta -IV dvd set (4 disc) of IT next from a shop. I copied everything did everything accordingly but when i click launch gta iv, the screen goes black and just about it seems the game wud run it says GTA IV has stopped working.

    Before this problem it was showing D3D fatal error please reboot your system (D3DD30).

    I thot i was direct x problem but i have the dx10 installed. Also microsoft 2005 C++ 2008.
    I'm using win 7, I also changed compatibility mode no of times to run in vista 1 or xp 1 2.
    Still the problem exists

    Need a little help here

    Maybe the Disk has some issues, try to change the disk and get some fresh copies :/

    may be a crack/exe issue try different crack......my gta 4 had 2 dsks

    I also had problems while playing GTA IV, but the one I bought had 2 disks. On my PC, GTA IV lagged even at lowest settings. Then I returned it to the shop and got TDU2.

    well the funny yet frustrating story is i have changed the discs 3 times . (yes 4 discs).
    Btw i think ITNEXT dvd has this problem. and about the 2 disc gta 4 is it by NPP? or any other company?..

    if it says fatal problem, then it's G4WL issue, update your G4WL client. That solved my problem(once)

    G4WL is very complicated, so do this carefully

    1. Uninstall G4WL
    2. Reboot Your PC
    3. Download and install latest G4WL Client
    4. Reboot your PC again.
    5. Start the game, by clicking RGSC Social club and then click play. Make sure you use the proper crack, it's ~ 20kb(don't remember exactly)
