Suggestion for BD's gaming future

People, we are all now involved in this matter, we need to find out a way, and help each other, HOW CAN WE IMPROVE BD'S GAMING SCENE. And by that it also means the country's internet and intra-net. Now, I want some suggestions from anyone and everyone who is interested, and I also would like to ask is it too much if you all can switch to ONE UNIVERSAL ISP? Like Smile BD, they have decent service, they have CS servers already, and the line is CHEAP, so can you guy do that?

if intra-net is possible then thats the best option..... for example, i dare say that in near future the BUET fifa players will totally own others......... now as all the residential halls are getting connected through same line, we all can play against each other...... so there will be about 60 player who play with each other regularly and thats huge...... so if by any chance a intranet is possible..... that would be grt......

being said that, thats quite a difficult job to do ...... and again there should be some cafe (i dont know who will so very much dedicated to gaming to provide that).... which will have original copies of some game.... and good enough speed so that some players/teams can compete in official sites to shine up their quality against foreign players.....

for fifa players, it will be hard to arrange games against foreign players. We must try to gather some videos of pro players...... thats difficult .... i know but not impossible..... in bd i still have not seen anyone in FIFA 08 doing anything that i didnt know..... so we must learn different techniques and a good way is to learn from others......

Yes, so dekhi, I guess, we need more VIDEOS of our major games, that is, CS:S, CS 1.6, DotA, UT2004, FIFA, NFS, CnC3:KW. And intra-net is a must, so can everyone get Smile.BD, coz it's cheap and intra-net ase already. :e

Joss hobe i guess...but Lord SMS had a good idea... we need to make a place wid at least 6 PCs...where we hav original CS:S nd a good net line to play against other teams out of BD. We just need a good sponsor eg. Djuice? to promote gaming nd mayb first challenge some teams from India, Pakistan or or other neighbouring countries. Get recognition nd...then WCG beshi bell dibe.

But, switching to Smile.Bd shouldn't be that much of a hassle or is it? Everyone can get the 900 taka line and the installment is just 1,000, so shouldn't be that hard. =S

but how can we play against foreign players if we dont have good pings... since we are connected through SEA-ME-WE 4 we should have good pings with countries connected through the same cable.. but bd er baire kothao tou ami playable ping ase bole shuni nai.. (FPS er jonno playable ping should be around 100 at MAX) so i dont think we are in a suitable position to think of playing all mainstream games with other countries just yet... (maybe im wrong though)

but i think as of now the focus should be on good connectivity WITHIN bd and not just dhaka.. anyone from anywhere in bd SHOULD be able to play any game with anyone around the country.. thats the first step imo.. then we can try to extend our horizon to maybe south asia and the go bigger one step at a time...

and yeah being under the same ISP is a good idea i guess... but ora akhono mone hoy shob jaygay dey na.. and they are gonna have to buy more BW if more people join em too..

Yeah, but the point is, IF we all join ONE UNIVERSAL ISP, or even, ISPs who have good relations and can co-operate, like I see most rival companies in BD make offers and stuff in such a way, you HAVE to take them, and rival comapny'r kisu nile tomar loss, I know it's a business tactic, and it's a good one, but we need to UNIFY like Kronos said, so even if us gamers do it, it's not enough, we need ISPs and Sponsors to UNIFY as well.

the idea is good though. if many of us take up smile at the same time.. they may be persuaded to give enuf BW at a cafe for online gaming.

Let's see, I would say, the fastest and most persuasive way is, IF BUET students all get Smile, seeing the number of users are high, and get em to get a proper WAN working, only in Dhaka first, then go to CTG and so on, but for a start in BUET seems like a great way.

Smile is THE ONLY ISP in BD who has something close to WAN, that's why. It's super cheap niye nao, the 500 taka line is good, 8kB/s thake. :e
