You can get an E5200 for 4.5k's if you can increase your budget

Check this, this and this if you want to go for a secondhand one

But getting a second-hand dual core/core 2 duo won't be a wise decision imo :/ parle E5200 ta nen iktu budget increase kore :/

I saw those on cellbazaar earlier. Talked with the last one who want to sold Dual Core 2.20GHz for 3500tk. Not sure whether those are good or not.

And my budget is around 3k. I will buy a Celeron 1.8GHz new for 2800tk if I don't get a second hand Dual Core but will not increase budget.

    Processors almost never dies...

So go for a secondhand one without any worry....i have bought and sold a lot of them...and none of them have any problems...

about g41...do not get older pentium 4/D/ Celeron processors...this mobo will not work if the fsb is below 800 MHz...

And @error the only dual core available in the market is the e5500 at 2.8 GHz for around 4.8k....others are all open box versions....which i do not recommend...

get a dual core or core 2 duo second hand...and just before buying test it with IBT or cpu burn in for 10 minutes...if no problem is there it will pass the test......or if the seller cant let you test...just get word from him for a 2 day money back guaranty....

How will be Intel Pentium D 2.7Ghz/3.0Ghz? If the fsb is 800Mhz then its good for G41?

If you want to play recent games then I strongly recommend you to buy E5xxx series then E2xxx series then at last your choice should be Pentium D.Anyway all of the processors are here of 800 mhz AFAIK.

Processor never dies unless your mobo is fried which I did once.
Don't get any Celeron, if you don't have any money to buy a good one, wait.
    Get at least PDC.

Yes generally processors doesn't die but two incidents happened with me.
    - My E5600 died recently & got new E5700 for warranty.
    - One of my friends processor recently burned out along with multiplug but mobo didn't burned.Amazing

    & yes don't buy celeron processor .

Anik bhaiya, your motherboard is very good in the economy series, I must say. But I don't really recommend any Celeron not even Pentium D. If you get any of these two, there is no real meaning of this upgrade. Try to get at least a Dual Core E5xxx processor which overclocks very well. Please try increasing your budget, it may take a while, but believe me, you won't regret. If you want to upgrade, take some time, but don't stick with the old Celeron or Pentium D.

I got an offer for Intel Pentium D 2.7Ghz. So will it be good for recent games? Like AC II or FIFA 11?

He won't be able to use the 6200 on the G41, so yes, he has to get a new GPU.
