Call your exchange and ask if they are doing some sort of maintenance or stuff like that, or ask them what might be the problem :/

Hello ... I'm here to help for your situation and problem described above. You will glad to know I've faced the same problem after using that adsl modem for one year totally fine but then suddenly frequent connection problem arise.

    What to do:

    1. Not to Blame BTCL or Emem System at the very beginning of any connection problem. My suggestion is to check your end equipments and settings first... (I don't work for BTCL or Emem either )

    2. Check your modem's hardware status. The 5V DC power supply adapter provided with that modem is not that good. I changed that Adapter with a good Regulated 5v, 2amp DC power adapter. My frequent ADSL connection problem was solved. So... give a try.. best of luck...

You need to read the label of a new +5V regulated power adapter. Its maximum output current rating should be above 1.5 amp. (Don't forget to check the polarity (+/-) of output jack match with your old one or not).

If you don't find high amp. rated +5v regulated power adapter in the market then ....

My suggestion is to use one PC PSU [Power Supply Unit] to get good regulated 5V dc with high current rating which is avaiable in Computer Merket for 500 Taka only.

Take that PC PSU and your old adapter (supplied with that ADSL modem) to an expert and tell him/her to bring 5v DC from that PC PSU and connect it (By maintaining the exact +/- polarity) to the old power JACK of the ADSL modem.

An expert needs to do that following task:

    1. Short the green and black wire of PSU's motherboard power connector jack. This will switch on the PSU.

    2. Cut and bring one Red and one Black wire from HDD/CD ROM power supply 4 wire line cord of that PSU (Red is +5v and Black is 0v), Don't Take Yellow wire that is +12V)

    3. Cut the old adapter's output jack including cable and join this two wire cable with PSU's red wire and black wire by maintaining the correct polarity.

    4. Check the Voltage of the output jack if it is +5v DC or not.

    5. If exactly +5v DC is in output jack and the polarity is correct only then connect the output jack with ADSL modem.
