Thread: Are we lacking behind comparing to India!!

  1. #1

    Default Are we lacking behind comparing to India!!

    Its 5:00 AM in the morning and i just finished my prayer and turned on my TV only to be surprised by BBC just said. India is hosting one it biggest gaming competition ever, with the Collaboration of Zero Friction LTD. and Electronic Arts. The total prize money is 50 Lac which would be 1crore in Bangladesh Money. Now my question is how come none of us noticed such a big event and yet we talk about tournaments all the time here. To know more i think you guys should go and have look in this site

    http://www.gameguru.in/events/2008/2...zero-friction/

    One reason i can tell you as to why India is so much ahead of us is the introduction of Broad Band which gives per user 2 MB just for 2300 rupees and the use of Original Software and games. People of my country , please start to ask yourself why we are lacking so much behind. Is there something wrong with our system? or are we not being informed properly of what we can get for what we can pay. From what i know my gamer friends, our government charges us more for little amount of bandwith. There is something going on between BTTB, the proofs have been found that BTTB is not giving us what they have promised even tho they have announced price decrease. I say this, as long as we don't get Higher Bandwith for example 2MB for 5000 Taka...or at-least 1MB for 2000 Taka ....there is no gaming future for our country, specially if we are to be recognized in the international gaming society and compete with them. If you do know any other way please suggest, because the gamers of this country desperately need one. I just feel sad how much we are lacking behind. Please pray for me to Allah , because i have vision to do something for the gamers of this country.

    Kronos, we are trying to go there, and now, all of us are joining this ISP, who gives pretty cheap and awesome connection for gaming. So yeah, and Bangladesh'r bandwidth price half korse shunlam from JIN, so that means agey we would get 32kB/p with 1,500, now we should get around 64kB/s, well that was my ZipBD connection, I may switch to Smile.BD, the company giving the cheap net, it's Tk. 1,000 installment, and it has different packages so the speed varies.

    Tk.500 = 8kB/s
    Tk.900 = 16kB/s
    Tk.1,600 = 32kB/s

    They already have a CS:S and Cs 1.6 server running, and more and more people are joining em, so bhalo ping, and decent cheap net. This may be a start for BD. =]

    SO you saying you get 32kilo Bytes for taka 1600. Is that what BTTB is telling you. Bwhahahahaha. I get 100KB and 200 KB max for 1000 only. Thats 100 Kilo Bytes, 90 KB is always constant for me. My Upload is same as my download, which is also recommended for playing games online. Well its been only 2 months. But in india they are getting 2 MB for 2300 rupee, thats like 6000 for 2 MB. Hec!!! thats cheap. The thing is we are always talking about download speed, no one cares about the upload. Thats where your ping comes in. Get it?... PING. Anyway as far as i know BTTB is cheating all the ISP, and soon someone is going to burst their bubbles. They are giving ISP's speed as kilobits and not in Kilobytes which is larger then the Bits. So yeah what were you saying? 32Kilo Bytes? hmmmm

    yes he is saying kilo BYTES .. and bhai apni kon ISP use koren ato BW dey??? and at the moment i think playing games online isnt hampered by BW problems from the client side.. i mean clients usually have enough bandwidth to join and play in servers but servers dont have enough BW to support too many players (basic problem with the smile servers now).... and it seems quite a few mainstream ISPs are connected through BDIX which means ping is actually pretty good..

    DUDE!! Being confined to your own country doesn't mean you'll be one of the pros! You've got to spread out to the international community, who can help you ALOT with your game, and that's one of the main reasons of proposing the idea for a good ISP.

    Um i don't play my game[HALO One] in my country. I play it outside my country most of the time Europe and US. So BW matters for me. Have any of you tried playing games like UT2004 or COD4 or other Graphical games that require the upload and download to be the same and above 32KB. Playing CS only wont give you much idea. Plus how would the guys know, 99 percent of the gamers use pirated games and never play the original online. Well lets see how our connection improves.

    The ISP i use they are using 2MB connection among 50 users. They are not planing to increase any more users, i hope. The thing is my ISP owner is more worried about giving us service than making capitalistic profits. One thing you guys should know, BTTB is doing something very fishy. Unless enough proof is there nothing will be said.

    Who doesn't respect our homeland .. even tho i feel like nuking it sometimes in my imagination. Anyway i know how my fellow gamers of this country is suffering. High speed internet can open so many possibilities for our players...and heck they got the guts the get some 1st prize from WCG i can bet you that. But unless we play with the international players online we wont get much ideas as to how they play or make their strategies. Its not like we will go out and woop their ¤¤¤. No your enemy before you strike, or you will be the one with a beonate stuck in your butt running for cover, hahaha. Oh and why do you think Comaparing to India is madness, its not been long that we were a part of it almost half a century ago. Well Our ancestors were the part of greater India...but thats not the point. Question is why cant we demand, or are we so much afraid that we cant even ask the government why they are spending 1000 Crores on other sectors instead of IT sector which can generate large amounts of foreign currencies. Even the software developers are suffering cause the cant transfer a simple 1GIG in 5 minutes. International companies don't have much patience bro. They work to the exact time they mention. What? You gona tell them to wait cause your connection is slow and you can't download the source codes. They will just answer..have a nice day! and go to some other countries who can afford what we can't. I feel sad for this country how people are being kept in dark and even its own government cheats with its people(remeber i said GOV not the country). For your information you can already afford 1MB for only 1000 or more. But why don't we see that yet. Thats a story i am not gona explain now. Just know this.... in next 3 years the Net will have a massive change and peopel all over the world will use 200MB/s individually even India. And we won't, we will be more like jumping with joy too get 500KiloBytes, sad very sad. Lot to say but i will bore you i guess.

    Remember guys this is not 19th Century this is 20th...it is the ages of miracles for information highway and we live in the ages computers that are considered to be super computers compared to 1960s. You might aswell read what i got from the net about what is to come in next 2 to 3 years: Don't say its a dream, we can not repeat the mistakes of 1990. Even if we don't get speeds(Experimental) like what is mentioned below you have to demand. This country will go nowere if this generation doesn't demand. It doesn't have to be us but maybe our childrens will use connection like that. And yes it says INTERNET-2 or NET 2.O. We are still using INTERNET1 most of the countries are...but they already arranged to integrate with NET 2.0. Heck, i wonder if my country even know about it.
