    Default Final Fantasy XIII-2

Dubbed Final Fantasy XIII-2, the game will retain the same key staff behind last year's game, with Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama returning, and
it will also see the return of key character Lightning.
She'll be joined by an all-new
character in a move that's not a first for the Final Fantasy series.
Final Fantasy X saw a direct
sequel in Final Fantasy X-2 agame with a combat system that would prove influential to that seen in Final Fantasy XIII.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is down for a 2011 release in Japan and will be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Another, rpg this year,bt this will totally rule this year.

Yes, most developers don't want to release in PC.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector's Edition packs 4-disc soundtrack, art book

    Three retailers offering pre-order bonuses

Have some space on your shelf to fit in more video game goods? For $79.99, you can pick up the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector's Edition, which includes a four-disc soundtrack and 20-page art book containing concept art of monsters, environments, and weapons. The game and goods are bundled in special packaging featuring artwork by Yoshitaka Amano.

Three retailers are offering different bonuses for those who pre-order Final Fantasy XIII-2. Here's what you could get:

    • GameStop - An alternate costume for Serah
    • Amazon - Omega boss battle DLC (Omega can be recruited in your party)
    • Best Buy - Final Fantasy XIII -episode 1- novel, detailing the events that tie XIII and XIII-2 together

Seems like that novel will be the most sought-after item though some might find value in a boss creature tagging along to help you out.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 ships to retailers on January 31, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 OST on sale this December

Four-disc album to be sold a day before game's release in Japan.

Based on GameSpot's previous coverage of the upcoming role-playing game Final Fantasy XIII-2, the game will feature a varied soundtrack that is quite different from its prequel. Therefore, Square Enix announced on its official website that it will be selling the game's OST in physical form on December 14 in Japan, which is one day before the game's release in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The OST will be split into four discs. Gamers in Japan can choose to buy either the standard version for 3,990 yen or a limited version for 4,800, which includes a bonus DVD. Role-playing fans can check out a few samples of the OST on the official page. There isn't any word on whether the OST will be available as a digital download.

The soundtrack's cover is a pink outline of Yoshitaka Amano's rendition of Lightning.

For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's recent preview.

Witness The Battle Of Valhalla In New Final Fantasy XIII-2 Trailer

If there's one thing that Final Fantasy has going for it, it's that most of its CG trailers require absolutely zero experience with the franchise to appreciate them. This new look at Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a great example. If you're a fan, you'll no doubt appreciate seeing Lightning defend Valhalla's shrine against Caius' army. On the other hand, if those names don't mean anything to you, you can still enjoy the acrobatic combat and explosive action.

To learn more about the game, check out our extensive preview. You'd better hurry though, since the game is coming out January 31.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer shows off new combat features

Snow shows up to assist Serah and Noel

A new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 offers a glimpse of some new battle system features such as Instant Paradigm Shifts and quick time event-style actions. Also keep an eye around the halfway point of the video to see Snow teaming up with Serah and Noel to beat up a couple of baddies.

In case you missed out on the news, monsters you recruit have their own Crystarium system that allow them to be fused with other creatures. Fusion allows your tamed monster to receive a nice boost in their stats.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 launches January 31, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

FFXIII was a fantastic game and i enjoyed every moment of it. Improving on the few weak areas of FFXIII almost guarantees the game will be something special and i am not surprised by these reviews. Hopefully this will restore the series back to its former glory.
