1 month back i posted a thread, on my XFX ati 5670 problem.
Everytime i tried to install the driver from the cd, the pc restarted.
So today I got a new mother board+other stuff
my current setup->(all brand new!!)(except for the hdd)
Intel i3 540 processor
XFX 5670 1GB
Winstars digital 250gb sata
Gigabyte 450W psu
Twin Moss 2gb 1333 ddr3 ram (with heat sink)
(some crappy cpu casing)
So i came home with the new set up, and tried to install the driver that came with the GPU box. PC restarted.
So i went to UCC (because i got the card from there), they checked it in other system it worked fine.
They updated my ATI graphics driver to the latest possible one. They installed it there, pc did not restart BUT when I tried to play a game, the
>>VPU recover< thing popped up every time.
(i tried splinter cell 1 and came home and tried Hot pursuit 2010)
Hot pursuit ran fine for 4 -5 mins (on verrry low settings) then again this "VPU Recover" popped..
They told me to come back again after the fair ends.
Any idea what the problem with this thing is?
( i decreased clock settings to 500 and 925mhz, the temp remained between 42-60'c)
Still no head way
If this is the problem with all ATI gpu products then Im sorry to say nvidia served me well for years. this is the only time i tried ATI. I searched the net and it seems this VPU recover thing popping up is a serious issue and there are numerous problems everywhere.
