Thread: Help buying a gaming laptop.

  1. #1

Default Help buying a gaming laptop.

I am planning to buy a gaming laptop this month. Just wanted to get some ideas. I saw Lenovo IdeaPad y550 which comes :-
    Intel Core2 Due (2.20GHz 2MB)
    4GB DDR3 RAM
    15.6 HD LED
    500GH HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M 1GB Graphics
Biult in TV tuner with Remort control

    Windows 7 Home Premium
And comes very cheap TK. 65,500 only.
(the highlighted are the two things that attracted me too much)

I searched for SONY viao too, but all of them were of INTEL INTEGRATED Graphics, which in term of gaming is very very poor according to all of the site i searched and costs more then 1 lak.

Please do mention if you have any other suggestion. And i know laptop's are not good for gaming, i am not going to play a lot of game in it as i got a very good config pc and a xbox 360 but i just thought if i am buying a laptop why not buy a gaming one!!

Oh and does any one knows about the gaming netbook Dell M11x??

First of all, DELL er Alienware er starting price dekhe keu khushi te laaf diba na.. cause oigula te bullshit jinish potro lagano thake ... mane jei main config ta ora add dae, oita nite gele onek beshi lage ... try to make a machine for yourself on their site.. you'll understand..

Alienware M17x huge size er laptop ... singapore-e dekhsilam .. 3000SGD chilo ... but let me tell you one thing, please oder ajaira fapor part-er dike jaio na .. you can check out the laptops from ASUS G series ... oigula amar kache worth mone hoise, but still was out of my budget ...

ami personally Acer Aspire 4741G use kori which has core i5 430 (2.26ghz) processor, 4GB DDR3 and 1GB dedicated Nvidia GT330M GPU .. screen size is 14" HD LED and the hard drive is 500GB .. bought it 8 months back from Singapore, cost me 71K BDTK.... it can run games on medium settings pretty smoothly (not talking about crysis) .... I could play POP TFS, Blur, Transformers all maxed out ... and played SC conviction, Black ops on medium settings pretty smoothly

so it is best if you can bring a laptop from abroad .. if you are short in money, try to get Acer it's really cheap and it's serving me well .. and if you have money, don't waste it on Alienware laptops, try out ASUS G series. and don't get anything below GT330M ... I wish I could buy an older version of Asus G series which had GTX 260M that's one of the best laptop GPUs
