Default Which one is better & more future proofing? Intel core i5 2500K or AMD Phenom II X6 1090T?

Guys, I wanna buy a PC for my brother. Budget is more or less fixed. I have already fixed about RAMs(Crucial Ballistix 2X2=4GB kit, model no.-BL2KIT25664FN1608); PSU(Delta 650 watt, model no.-GPS650AB B); Case(Coolermaster HAF922); Graphics card(Asus GTX460 1GB which one is available in BD now); HDD(Samsung spinpoint F3 500GB+500GB in raid0. RAM & case will be bought from india. Now the ques has been arisen about the cpu and mobo. I am in a dilemma about those. I am thinking about the newly released sandy bridge i5 2500K or ph II 1090T?If I choose the AMD one then Asus crosshair IV formula mobo(available in India) will be choosen but I don't know which mobo would be perfect for that 32nm sandybridge.

Now, guys help me to choose the cpu & mobo. I am an extreme OCer so keep that in mind when giving suggestions. No need to talk here if u don't know well about enthusiasts level hardwares.thnx in advance.

i5 2500K will be better I guess. And I saw in a website that Smart is going to bring P67 motherboards, so if you want to buy a Sandy Bridge CPU, you can get on of these Gigabyte P67 boards from Smart.
You can also go for 1090T depending on budget.
Sorry, can't provide any comparisons now, will provide later.

If you want to buy 2500K you must buy P67 Motherboard. H67 Motherboards does not support overclocking or change of multipliers. I prefer ASUS P8P67 Series. All of the series is equipped with UEFI bios.

    2600k isnt a Gpu.
For gaming 2600K is the best processor you can get out there for games that dont utilize more than 4 core, but there is one title that does utilize more than 4 core that is BFBC2 and phenom x6 due to having more cores performs on par with intel 980X :O :O.
now the thing you have to understand it both have their share of advantages and disadvantages.
Phenom ll x6 has more cores thus multi threaded apps will be a breeze on them, it overclocks good and I think its cheaper, since newer games will support more cores I can forsee phenom x6 juicing out more performance from newer titles.

The 2600K has the best architecture right now, out performing everything in terms of per core and per clock, not only that but this is a beast at overclocking, 4.7 ghz is a breeze on K variants while the non K's are hard to overclock.

Phenom ll should be a bit cheaper (if you opt for the same class of mobo), which might give phenom ll the edge in terms of price per performance ratio.

Id like to say another thing, that is 'there is no such thing as futureproofing Pc's' every 12 months better hardware are bound to appear which will make you feel outdated, but hey Im still running fine on a q6700 clocked at 3ghz , I tend to update gfx, ram and HDD every 6 months and Cpu about every 4 years or so, so when ever I build a pc I look to buy stuff that ll get the job done and makes sense in spending the cash on it, I never seek to future proof, as such a statement in the pc world is non-existent.

    ---------- Post added at 15:39 ---------- Previous post was at 15:37 ----------

Crosshair VI formula is available in bd too (In pc carnival located in syed grand centre). Id suggest the MSi 890FX GD 70 and the Gigabyte 890FXA ud-7 over the crosshair, the crosshair has issues with the NB heatsink.

    ---------- Post added at 15:42 ---------- Previous post was at 15:39 ----------

What I would suggest is get yourself a GTX 580 (or 2 6950's and flash them if you go AMD that is then xfire! WOOT) and then your all set for games that is.
Well some games will stutter just about a bit but wait a bit if you dont need to buy asap, as the bulldozer is on its way and so it the bridge of IVY .
    FTW!!!!!!!!!!
