Thread: noob question about connecting to zx server.

  1. #1

Question noob question about connecting to zx server.

hi, i am new to this forum . so please bear with my noob question.

when trying to connct to zx server from the console this error msg appears :

"ConVarRef sb_dontshow_maxplayer_warning doesn't point to an existing ConVar
Network: IP 192.168.3.10, mode MP, dedicated No, ports 27015 SV / 27005 CL
    Connecting to 114.130.28.26:27017...
    Host_Error: Unexepected authentication protocol 27713736!"

any ideas why this is happening?

my CSS is the setti Orangebox non steam version version.

also i am useing qubee internet. when i try to ping 114.130.28.26 from windows on average the latency is 68 to 70 .. so i dont think that is the problem.

also i can open any ports i want. but dont know if that is the problem so didnt try that yet. any ideas if i should open ports? (which ports? TCP or UDP)

thanks for reading. any help is appreciated.

    Default Re: Help Me? :D

    Hey,

I've been playing CS for a while, recently i can't connect to any of the servers [Zx, HZ].
The servers don't show up on my favorites tab when i refresh it. I use a local line called worldnet which is connected to Mango Tel Com. [According to speedtest, i guess =S]. It used to work fine before until one fine day all the servers vanished for me. =(

When i try to add it again, it doesn't show up, and if i click on the other option where i can check if there are any games on the particular server, it says "Server not responding". anyone knows the solution?

    Note:

    I'm running The Orangebox Version.
I have all the updates from the Css.Setti site.
Used to work fine 1-2 weeks back.
    I miss css

    Thank you guys.

Try pinging the servers and report the times. There's not much you can do if the problem is with your ISP.

Thats the problem right there. You aren't seeing/connecting to the servers because of your ping times. You need to ask your ISP to look into its BDIX connectivity.
