I'm hearing some people in my varsity saying about something like government is going to create a rule or something about banning any kind of unlimited internet packages from all providers in bangladesh. None can clearly say what it is actually. I tried to google for it and found nothing. Have anyone heard about it? If have, what it is, is it applied to ISPs also or only mobile phones or wireless providers like banglalion and quebee? What about BTCL adsl? Does anybody know anything about it?

I'm a downloader, and only net available at my place here in khulna is either mobile companies or banglalion or BTCL ADSL. I can't sleep if i don't know either it is true or just a rumor.

The whole IT sector in BD runs on piracy.
And if the govt. do anything like that, the biggest casualty will be BTCL. Because its unlimited package is the only thing that gives it the upper hand against other providers.

Amaro bisshash chilo eita rumor chara ar kisu na.....khali sondeho hoisilo BD te ja suru hoise, fair usage policy ar 1-5 GB package only.....eita ki kono vabe true hoia jay kina. KUET e recently banglalion asche, amar onek friend unlimited 256 kbps package niya 10 GB cap khaia bakkol hoia boisa ase. Tader e keo maybe hotash hoia rumor ta choraitese. Bt amar question, BTCL er ki kokhono fair usage policy ba DL cap deoar kono possibility ache?

Ar mane, Banglalion is the worst internet service provider in BD....i think mobile companies like GP, Banglalink, Airtel, Robi, Citycell Zoom all these are better than Banglalion.......

Sorry for reviving this old thread again. There was some addition to what i've heard.....yesterday I called to banglalion customer care, because the dealers here announced to remove all unlimited packages from next month. The guys at customer care confirmed that, and said the reason of this is airtel is bringing 3G in bangladesh and requested to govt. to provide constant bandwidth. For that, govt. requested mobile and wimax companies to remove all unlimited packages. I don't know if they know wrong, but they told me this all, thats sure.

What kind of partiality is that?? Just because a new company asked fro constant BW, the govt will go on killing others business??
Airtel is also a mobile company. They will surely try to introduce their own Unlimited package. And why would other companies give in to such partiality.

Amar internet conn. niye kono dukkho nai je ami mobile company gulo re valo bolbo....I'm telling this from my own experience...I've used GP, Banglalink and Citycell Zoom..by reading the comments from users about Banglalion in this forum...I think these companies are far more better than Banglalion.

And because Banglalion has no unlimited packages whatsoever...it doesn't mean that this rumor can be true!!

If u want to experience the true fun of unlimited internet.....
Take Qubee(Currently the best wireless internet provider, according to me)
or
Take BTCL(The best Broadband, according to me)
