    Default 27 inch monitors

Was looking for a TV which I could use as my monitor. But couldn't find one that's fast enough with the input lag. So a TV is a no go for me.

Now looking for a 27 inch monitor. Primary use is ms office stuff, some Internet browsing and as a TV for my room. But I do play games sometime and I'd need something which produces good color contrast and most importantly has little or no lag. Must be a proper gaming monitor.

Budget- not fixed, but don't want to be wasting money as well. If the price is justified then I'll go for it.

Will be buying from Bangladesh, so mentioning the shop name would be appreciated.

Totally wrong, most of the 3d monitors come equipped with 120hz, which is awesome if your rig can handle at least 60+fps,
Also 3d isn't that bad as people scream about

IDT you can contest 60 Hz 3D into 120 Hz 2D. I think the problem of 3D is mostly lack of content. Most devs don't implement it. Even Intel HD Graphics after Sandy Bridge can output 3D if you want to build a 3D home theatre system.

Well You probably haven't actually seen a recent SMART 3D TV...in person. No amount of review will give you the right picture until you actually see it in person.

Go to bashundhara Sony showroom and ask the sales person that you seriously want to buy an Smart 3d TV ( good 3d TV starts around 100K)
and you want to see the 3d performance. Select a Passive 3d TV for the test.

And 3d monitor is definitely not a crap. Again you probably haven't experienced this either. 3D Monitor comes with much higher refresh rate which is must requirement to enjoy the full performance of a high end SLI/crossfire setup where FPS usually stays well above 60 fps. I said this before and will say it again 3d monitor is not for midrange gpu users. not even for single high end gpu user.

3d gaming doesn't have the necessary support which is why very few games have the 3d feature. Besides, due to poor implementation its not even comfortable to play games in 3d mode.

but 3d movie is already on a mainstream level. You will be pretty amazed if you could see a recent 3d movie in a decent panel.

While Asus VG278HE is a decent thing but do u have the req gpu power to utilize its high refresh rate? if no, then go for a simple 60hz panel and spend the savings on something else.

i watched 3d footage of titanic documentary [the movie documentary] on a samsung f series 3d tv with most probably passive glasses as the glasses had to be turned on and one of the glasses was out of battery... anyways, it looked good but holographic. like with viewmaster of the old days... plus the movies at bashundhara city with 3d also feels holographic... is that what 3d is supposed to look like... ?

bashundhara city and cinaplex uses passive 3d ( no battery req for the glasses. Active 3d glasses require battery to operate.
well yes it feels a bit holographic. Different movies implement 3d effect differently. Some are done really well such as recently released 300 -2 Rise of an Empire.

for new people they usually forget to close their jaw. Just need some adequate sound system to support the 3d movie.

i see.. so my personal experience with the samsung tv was of active 3d. it was kinda fun... but it's weird in the sense that some aspects of the video are 3d while others remain flat. it feels like those anime with both 'anime' animation and '3d' animation in the same scenes...

Yes but what I was referring to was regular 3D TV not Smart 3D TV. Of course those are expensive as hell but I might check it out later so I rest my case
