    which one is a better choice between these two?? I heard that 280x has artifacts issues, is it true??

    I am gonna buy one within 2-3 days so quick suggestions needed.

    Why would anyone buy the 280x if it had artifact issues?
    And it's not worth waiting for 300 series as the low end cards will be just rebrands anyway.

    You would find that 4 GB version giving a noticeable difference in fps only in shitty optimized games from ubisoft.

    If you're going to game at 1080p, the GTX 960 is the better choice. R9 280X is already in the dog box as far as driver-level optimizations are concerned. And yes, there has been an issue with the Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X card artifacting because that card is overclocked at 1100 MHz, and at that speed there'll likely be a few defective on arrival cards.
