Default Regarding Steam Wallet recharge using BRAC Bank Debit Card

Recently while going through my Account Details section in Steam, I saw Steam included an option to select Store Region, which for my case is now Bangladesh, like in this picture.

    Attachment 36229

So I saw this link: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...6627-QSNM-5276 ; and it says here now I can purchase in Steam using my local currency.

So I tried to buy 5$ steam wallet in steam using my debit card issued by BRAC Bank here, which only accepts local transactions. After putting all of my information, the card got accepted and I was brought to a confirmation page. I did not click purchase as I'm not aware of the consequences if I buy internationally using a local debit/credit card. My card and all of information got accepted in the website; which I never saw happening before.

Can someone please clarify whether the transaction will be allowed or not as if it's allowed then it will be a great news for us Bangladeshi Steam users.

Local cards wont work. Int ones will.

But when I put my information there the card got accepted. I tried doing it once before just out of curiosity and it wasn't accepted and now suddenly it is being accepted, as steam started this local country support recently.

I know international cards would work and local cards won't, but this feature seemed new so just wanted to clarify.

Hit purchase, there aren't really any ramifications.

Report back if it works (doubt it).

try opening an Foreign Currency account and then get a Credit Card against it.
