    Default Which 1080p monitor should I buy?

    Guys, I want to buy a 1080p monitor with a budget of 15k. But there are so many options to choose like Asus, Dell, LG, Viewsonic, Samsung, etc to choose that I am confused . Can someone tell me the best model to buy? :/ I actually also won't mind buying a monitor which provides better value for money . So, it doesn't necessarily have to be the most expensive one

    Note : I am having to buy a new monitor because my current Asus one is having a problem. The display turns black after a few seconds though the power is still on . People said it might have capacitor or inverter issues. I went to a shop to fix it. But they failed to repair it . So, you guys know any good monitor-repair shops?

    Dell is crap because,

    * That is actually a mirror. A very highly reflective glossy screen. No Anti-glare or matte finish.
    * 7ms response time.
    * No HDMI cable bundled.
    * No speakers.
    * No dual HDMI connector.

    Only those buy/praise Dell monitor who have never used any Full HD display before.

    Dells are not crap. They have really good build quality, you'd know if you opened one up. And the actual LCD panel of S2240L is great too. Also the 5ms response time of Asus is just a marketing thing. 5ms is minimal, the actual response time is variable, ranging from 5-16ms. Some other manufacturers usually list the average/medians so we get the 7-8ms values.

    But you are spot on about it being a mirror. I would never buy or suggest to buy any PC monitor that is this much reflective.

    Spot on! 5ms/7ms is just bull. These monitors are in the order of 25-30ms in terms of input lag which manufacturers never seem to state in their specifications.

    You need really high refresh rates to get those numbers which these monitors just can't do and are limited to 60Hz at 1080p.

    Global Brand is the one and only impoter of Asus electronics here in BD, so if they give 3 years warranty, all can. If they dont, none does.

    Monitor repair shop- ECS Multiplan (U will find a lot of repair shops there)
    - No experience with monitor repair

    For 1080P under 15K VX229H is the way to go, unless U find an Acer h226hqlbid (Hard to find)
    Acer- Brightness and screen looks awesome, Better than asus one (I owned both of them)
    Asus- Speaker integrated and matte. (more sexy than acer one)

    And for input lag and frequency, Don't even think or compare because IPS displays always lags behind here.(And 5ms -_- , that's not even close -_- )
    U can try the new PLS panel Display of samsung (They are costly and I didn't find in BD yet)

    1080P and 22'' - A lot - Samsung has a whole bunch of monitor (TN ) around 12K
    LG has some around 12-13K (IPS and TN )
    HP has some (TN) around 12K.
    Viewsonic (VA panel) has some. UCC told me they have IPS panel too.

    Problem is, IPS panel - in this price range are limited.

    Actually I think they import. Example: Corsair Obsidian series case. And they give more than 1 year warranty in Many Products.

    BTW I bought a HD710 ADATA USB portable HDD yeaterday. (With three years Warranty !!! From PCNET )
    Afaik EVEn UCC (multiplan at least) gives 2 years Warranty in their MSI 900 series GPU (60,70 and 80 )

    1 year waranty policy is BCS - IDB related but BD doesn't have computer shops only at IDB I guess.

    Well, I mainly asked the question regarding the warranty policy. According to their website, they provide 3 years warranty for such monitors :/
