    Angry Facing a crisis here!!!

So i all but decided to buy the gtx 960 for 23k. seemed like a better option than the 280 at the same price point. The only thing that could've seduced me would be the r9 280x which are going for higher than 26k.

Now, every single site lists the 280x at that price, but this store seems to be selling them at 22.5k.
    http://startechbd.com/Graphics-Card/...9%20280X%203GB

    Is this even real?!?

Now the next problem, even if it is real I have a thermaltake TR2 500w PSU(80plus brnz). Could it even run the 280x??

Seduced you?! That is a different level of excitement.

Call them up. It probably isn't correct. Your PSU is adequate for that GPU.

I guess its the newer rev_2.3 ones. They aint bad as their predecessor. You may remember i owned a tr2 380w rev2.3 for almost 3 years. ran GTX570, R9 270X, 6850 with it without any problem. Now @Aasifz is using it and still running flawlessly.

Used tr2 500w for ~6 years, still alive and kicking... just don't use it anymore, retired. Upgraded to tt smart 850w, which failed twice in 1.5 years.

    tr2 series is good.

Manufacturers always recommend way higher than required.

There are many tools for checking required PSU
