Question How to run Intel Stock fan at full 3000rpm?

How to set Intel Stock fan at full 3000rpm?

In the bios, it is set at Full On and it runs at ~2000rpm now. But i now it is very capable of achieving the 3000rpm at full throttle because when i switch On the PC, the inrush current makes it run at a much higher speed than this 2000rpm. The problem is, if i try to connect it in other fan headers or even directly to the power supply through the molex, it still doesnt run at its full speed.

I have two original Intel fan, one is from OEM Nidec, another one is from Foxconn. Both show the same scenerio.

it is a multi phase fan and it's inrush current should be low.
this fan is driven by pwm and even if u set the highest Pwm value i dont think it will run at its max. what u can do is if u have a gigabyte board there should be an option for running the fan at max or something.

its already kinda late so i will take a look at it tomorrow, got couple of intel stock fans too.

    That is exactly what's happening.

I did have a Gigabyte board (B75M-D3H) before but could not max out the fan there either.

Just connect it to non-pwm connection. Like SATA/MOLEX to 3-pin header.

It's weird. it should run close to max given the settings.
Does your Windows power options settings have system cooling active ?? (stupid question though ). If it is, then I don't know why it won't run close to max under full load :/ :/

I think it depends on motherboad, and maybe has something to do with the voltage supply, not only the PWM. I used one fan with a Asus G33 and then P43 motherboad. The G33 used to run it 2800+ rpm at 100%, where the G43 can only take the same fan up to 2400 rpm. As you are saying the 3 pin connectors also runs it at 2000 rpm then I think your motherboard's fan header's +12v drops down to a lower value after your pc boots up.

But why? With two different motherboards?

Akhon ar kisu janar dorkar nai. Sell koira Deepcool ICE Edge Mini (Dual Fan version) lagay disi. Dhurr, eto genjame ke jay.

I have to IEM is a very very good cooler. Doesnt let my overclocked temp go over 75c even when running IBT at Very High preset. Where as my previous Hyper 212 Evo would give 73c. 212Evo was 3k. Deepcool is 1.3k.

Would you recommend IEM over 212x even if the budget is 3k?

If the budget is 3k, i would suggest the 212X.
