Default maximum resolution that an ATI 5770 supports

My cousin bought this new GPU and is thinking of getting a new monitor ( runs a 17" Philips monitor now ). Perhaps an ASUS MS228 http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=fPbSdG6d8aSS12s7 . But he is worried if he can play all the new and upcoming games in high settings with the GPU and monitor. He asked me for suggestion but I need all of your help so that I can suggest him the best choice.
    THANKS IN ADVANCE.

umm...don't think it'll play all games at high settings at 1920x1080P. but should be fine for 1600X900. I can't say for sure though, lets see if a 5770 user posts here.

^^what ever d model number is try 2 hav 20" 1600by 900(16:9) or 1680by1050(16:10) native resolution, 2ms response time(important 2 me)......i prefer ASUS,then samsung. i don't know much about LG much. 1 more thing.....prefer led over lcd....coz LED has better dark black screen(important 2 me),less power consumption, picture overall quality is far better than LCD.

    ---------- Post added at 23:29 ---------- Previous post was at 23:07 ----------

    u better tell abt
    20" LED samsung BX2035 according abhi4168 vhai...it is led ,2ms,12.2k price-very good price.or
ASUS MW201U ...i don't know abt its price or availability.

if he wanna get 22" then
    Asus MS228H 21.5" is boss..1 of myfriend is using it.(bbooss monitor)..its price~15k according Arif69 vhai.

above mentioned all 3s r boss. but if i were 'your friend',i would go 4 samsung bx2035 as a hd 5770 owner.....jotil pricing

well - i would say - go for the asus MS228H monitor..........IMBA product. As for resolution issue - u can easily play 1600*900 res games with a 5770HD - and what the hell.......u can do it in a 22inch monitor man.......why purchase a 20inch monitor just because u can't play 1600+ res games?.......u can play games in 1600*900 res in a monitor with native 1920*1080 res. Without any flaws............go on!
